Hopefully this isn't too long but here goes.
I had my LMP on 21st August, my cycle is usually 23/24 days. I'm pretty regular but there has been times when I've been stressed or unwell and I'd be a few days late.
Anyway last week I came home and ran straight to the bathroom, the next couple of days I was feeling nauseaous and dizzy. I assumed it was a bug or something, then my OH casually asked if I had, had my period yet.
I was sure that there was no chance of being pregnant but we decided to do a test just in case. It said wait 5 minutes to read the result but nearly right away 2 clear lines showed up. I couldn't believe it and neither could my OH. We're happy that having children is now possible as I was told recently that it would be unlikely for me to conceive naturally.
We're both really nervous too though, financially we're doing ok but it's still worrying. Healthwise, I'm on anticonvulsant medication which could have an effect on LO but if I don't take them then I could start having seizures again which is also dangerous for LO. I know we should be extremely excited and we are excited but I think we're holding back until we know for sure everything is ok.
I'm waiting for an appointment with my doctor to talk about my medication and things like that so hopefully after that we'll be able to enjoy this pregnancy.
