Can someone please help me think of girl and boy names out of the bible?:flower: If you can give a meaning too would be cool..
Some of them are kinda hmmm. But some are really good in there.Like Sammuel and Mary. I want something unique too though.Anyone else pick names out the bible or have done so?

2600 here...fill ya boots..;)

Elizabeth, Ann. Adam, Gabriel, Paul, Peter, Simon, Ruth.

That's all i can think of. There are lots of baby names sites that will tell you the meanings. Just google "baby names"

One of my faves is Pheobe, she was a strong woman of faith

Both my children have Bible names but we wanted unusual ones rather than common ones. My son is Aaron Isaac and my daughter is Tabitha. Some other names that were on our shortlist are Noah, Caleb, Jesse, Isaiah, Elijah, Joel and Malachi for boys and Ruth, Jemima, Priscilla, Abigail and Lydia for girls.

My sister is called Ruth. I love the name and always enjoyed reading the story about Ruth and Naomi but all the Ruths I've known (including my sister in the nicest possible way) are a little odd.

Aaron is popular boy's name. I quite like Abraham and Noah and Joseph. There are just so many Bible names.

If we have a boy we are naming him Elijah Samuel...two awesome men of the Bible.

I like Joshua and Noah for a boy. Rachel for a girl.
I'm sure if you google you'll find lots of websites dedicated to biblical names.
:flower:

Joshua, Jacob, Isaac, gabriel, Noah, izikeil (sp) Jesus, David, john

Going for Mary as a middle name if a girl and Benjamin for first name if a boy. In the bible Benjamin was the son of Rachel and my name is Rachel. Benjamin means son of right hand and Rachel means innocent as a lamb! Which I am of course:)

I like Jacob, Aaron, Rebecca and Ruth too :) Hope you find your special names:)

Awesome thread! My 6 siblings and I all have Bible names. Elizabeth, Jacob, Liberty, Silas, Lydia, Paul, and Justice. Liberty and Justice aren't actual names used in the Bible, but the word is used. Other ideas: Noah, Isaac, Luke, Rebekah, Josiah, Joel, Isaiah, Miriam, Hosanna, Martha, Priscilla, Chloe, Jason, Phillip, Andrew, Simon, Abigail, Esther, Faith, Hope, Charity, Kezia(girl name), Hosea, Levi, and Anna. Maybe you could look up and see if you can find a Bible name book at your library? They'll have the meaning with the name, and like another poster said, you can always Google the meaning. Our names we picked out are Isaiah Alan and Azalee Elizabeth. But we reaaaaaally like Martha and Hosanna too!

I like Asher, Silas, Elijah, Noah, Simon, Ruth, Rachel, Naomi, and I am sure more that I can't think of right now.

My son is Simeon, who in the bible was the son of Jacob. My husband is Jacob :) We honestly didn't do it on purpose, just liked the name, but it is pretty neat. I get a lot of odd looks about his name. People always ask me where in the world I came up with it.

We haven't agreed on names from the 3rd child on so I don't know what we'll name this babe, but I love the idea of picking names from the bible and I think we'll use Jeremiah for a middle name for a boy and I really like Naomi if it's a girl.

My bean will be called Solomon, which means man of peace. Ad dof course Solomon was very wise, also he was son of David and my OH is David... I love it!
