My midwife came to visit me at home yesterday.

Basically in a nut shell I have had UTI symptoms but no UTI, swabbed for thrush & Bacterial Vaginosis but those came back clear also so called her on GP's advice.

I have also been suffering with a little wee leaking out after weeing but I do find sitting on the toilet a bit longer than usual helps & leaning forwards/backwards & so I asked her if this was down to position of baby but she said no - apparently it's not normal to be getting this & she wants to refer me to an incontinence specialist in the hospital - I have never suffered before & it only started happening at 15/16 weeks. I'm not being funny like but what can they do while I'm pregnant.

After posting on here I know I'm not the only one suffering from a little wee leaking after weeing but she seems to think it is abnormal.

I just feel so deflated after her visit

Hi

I am 18 weeks and only found out I had a UTI apprently had it for months just had no idea strange but true

If you did have an infection antibiotics can clear it up but since you dont I dont think it should cause you any alarm, I find some midwifes hopeless and very rarely ask for advice from them (usually go to a doc)

As for the weeing, yes well I think we all suffer from that during pregnancy and I believe and have been told by various doctors over the years that it is down to the baby putting pressure on the bladder not incontinence

Dont let it get to you, maybe she is being a little over cautious

Hope this kinda helps

Thanks hun, that's what I think too - I see the consultant on the 3rd December anyway so hopefully that will go better xx
