Hi all,
Haven't been on here much during this pregnancy but there's a few of you who I got close to during my miscarriage before I fell pregnant with my baby girl so thought I'd come on and let you all know she's here
Last week, despite having the flu jab, I got flu, still have it... I noticed after a few days that baby wasn't moving as much and on Tuesday morning I hadn't felt any movement at all so made my way to l&d for monitoring, was monitored for an hour and only three tiny movements were noted so they decided they should induce me.
I was examined at 3pm, waters were bulging and I was 3cm dilated, so they broke my water and gave me a sweep.
By 5pm there was still no sign of labour starting so was put on a drip at 6pm to be checked again at 9pm. Contractions started pretty much straight away and by 9pm were pretty intense so they examined me again only to find I was still only 3cm dilated, I was livid lol but coping with just gas and air.
By 10pm the contractions were excruciating so asked for some pethadine, was examined again and told no because I was 10cm dilated and could start pushing.
Baby Eliza Sophia was born at 10.18pm weighing a whopping 7lbs 10 at 38 + 2. Only needed one tiny stitch and was allowed home the next morning at 10am.
Eliza is amazing and I am over the moon and Katie is a fantastic bog sister... Our family complete for Christmas... Will add a picture of little Eliza later x
Here she is
