OH is obviously going to be there but if I'm honest he's pretty impatient a person and is already making jokes about how he hopes I'm not going to be one of those 'screaming' women! I'm kinda worried he won't be able to handle it and with him being a joker I can see I might lose my patience.

We can have two people there so I'm toying with the idea of asking my sister to be there too. She's very calm, and great company and she's a nurse so I think I'l feel more comfortable, and it will be great for her to give OH a break and good for reassuring us both!

On the other hand will it take away the magic of it being just me and OH (oh and the midwife ) if my sister is there

What are you planning?

I'm planning on having my OH and my mum there. She's very much the stable person in my family that I can go to with any problem and I know she'll take my OH under her wing if he gets too annoying :p x

I'm hoping to have my DH and mum there too - DH wasn't keen on the idea of mum being there at first as he wanted it to be a special time for the 2 of us but I told him that I want her there because she knows what I'm going through and he will appreciate the company - especially if it's a long labour!

She was with my sister for both of her deliveries and I was there for the 2nd so I have seen her in action so to speak lol

i only have my other half, my fam live in a different town 2 hrs away so they aint really on call, my OH is a bit of a joker too and i do worrie about him makinf stupid comments! ive warned him, hes a bit of a woss too so i hope he doesnt faint! lol ill be left alone lol x

It will just be me and mum - we are incredibly close and I have no partner so it's not really a difficult decision. I told my dad he was welcome too but he looked slightly horrified so we've decided he can stay home and sort out the cats and come in with his camera when the mucky bit is over. :haha:

 minnie...that made me laugh about your dad!!

My mum and my husband - DH cos I really want him to see how much it hurts! and mum cos she'll be better at helping me through it...

My mom is coming from the States to be with me during labor. Also obviously my boyfriend will be there. ;) To be honest, I'm not even sure how he feels about mom being there!! I haven't asked!

I always promised my mother she could be there as 1/ none of my brothers or sisters let her be there. 2/ She had 5 C-section so has never actually seen a labor and delivery. 3/ She's a nurse and therefore should be a helpful sort. 4/ I probably will want her there.... maybe... hopefully. ;)

AND she's staying for a whole month, to boot! Coming two weeks before I'm due and leaving two weeks after! Hopefully bubs isn't too early or too late to make the trip worthwhile! :)

It will be me and OH only - last time my Mum was there for some of it (but I did send her out everntually - it would have been fine, but it was only going to be me and DH right from the start) This time I need someone to watch DD for me anyway and again I want it only to be the two of us. My mother is fortunately understanding and says she would never have imagined it being anyone else but my father when her own children were born. Besides this time will more than likely be a C-section and then only one person is allowed in anyway.

OMG Tankit....your in second tri already hun :yipee:

I`ll be having my partner, mum as she has had 11 children and will be my voice if im in to much pain and also my sister to video and take piccys..bit of a family affair lol.

It's just going to be me and my hubby. I can't imagine really having anyone else there but him. Besides this is his first born and his first newborn as he came into mine and my sons life much later. My husband is so thrilled, supportive and protective. He wants to be there for me every step of the way and I can honestly say he's been wonderful so far, I'm blessed with a great man for a husband :cloud9:, and I know it will be so wonderful for him to be there for the birth and he should not have to share that moment with anyone but me :flower:

With my son, it was a party in my delivery room. i had him at a medical university... so, i had no shame in letting every student in to watch, LOL... all 20 of them... HAHAHAHA My sister in law video taped, and my DH was there as well. I had a blast during labor (thank you God for epidurals, LOL!!). The poor student that was holding my other leg up almost fainted... I think it was his first delivery
This time, I plan on the same. My DH, mom, and sister (maybe, as she's pregnant at the same time) will be there.... and whatever staff wants to pop in.

i only have my other half, my fam live in a different town 2 hrs away so they aint really on call, my OH is a bit of a joker too and i do worrie about him makinf stupid comments! ive warned him, hes a bit of a woss too so i hope he doesnt faint! lol ill be left alone lol x

My sister lives an hour and a half away from me and I still made it for when her 2nd was born! I got pre-warning one evening that contractions had started, then a phone call at 8am the next morning telling me to get my arse over there - I just jumped straight in the car and was gone - forgot to take any overnight stuff with me lol!!! But I was lucky that I was on holiday that week, obviously not everyone could just drop everything like I did!

My Hubby and possibly my mom. Everyone and there mother wants to be there but I don't want people lol.

For my dd birth i just had my hubby,i'm glad i did,but this time it will mainly be my sister and hubby :)
xx xx
