here is my other post incase want to know more: https://www.babyandbump.com/problem...71-period-like-bleed-agony-after-lap-dye.html

thanks for any replies, if anyone as any photo's to share would be grateful of these too.

the only reason mine were a bit yellowish were bc of the stuff they put on it to desinfect

did they not do stitches? mine were like really really long haha

i have pics on my cameras, i'll upload them soon and post them for you

ready for it... hope you have a strong stomach, i'm not a hero looking at pics like that (it's bc the bellybutton is involved, i have no problem looking at open heart surgery etc)

few hours after surgery, with the original bandaids (they replaced them with waterproof ones the day after).
didn't take pics from that as i was grossed out and couldn't look at it at all

4 days later
(while changing my bandaid)
i'm slightly allergic to it, hence the redness where the plastic bits are.
the yellow and darker bits are from the isobetadine, since i wasn't allowed to wash it or anything that obviously stuck

7 days later (had been pulking on my bandaid, bc it itched like mad and it let some water through, oops)

today 11 days later

bellybutton looking normal again
scars healing but it's looking fairly ok (compared to the beginning)

they did to stitches i have three - five in my belly button and 4in my naval, ,my whole belly was yello from the cleaning stuff but now its really brusied.

hi....i had a lap & dye in feb & yes my stomach was really bloated too for a while :( i still have 2 very red & raised scars ( one just below belly button & 1 lower down by pubic bone. all healed pretty quick tho & stitches came out after bout 4 weeks. & i got my bfp 17 days after having the surgery so was def worth it!!! xx

i think i depends on what you have had done hun mine wasn't that bad tbh xxxxxxxxxx

thats good all worked out for both of you guys, my scares still really angery and very sore, feeling really sickly and rough, think places are infected. i've had heavy period like bleeding since had my Lap and getting heavier my period isn't due until 28th-29th not sure if will get that as well :S

personally, just from looks i don't think yours look worse, more bruised, yes, but other than that, no.

you have more stitches though, i only had one in every place

you said (here or in another thread, don't remember) that your uterus was in a different position than normal right?
maybe that's why, bc their normal poking strategy didn't work as planned, might cause all the bruising.

is it ANY better already? the pain i mean... the wounds itself will take more time to heal
and for swelling to go down, don't worry too much about that, every body is different
and heals in different paces.
if you think they are infected however... you know a friend who's a nurse or something along those lines?
if docs aren't willing to help you, maybe they can help you a bit?

pictures aren't very good, also got brusies on my arms and back thinking they were really rough not sure, but anyways pains not better sadly i am trying to cope through it but still taking a huge toll on me.

yes i have a tilted uterus far backwards but they knew that already, but yeah maybe, i think they might have been trying to muck about with my blocked tube or something and thats why the pain?

going to wait till monday and see how i stitches and that are have been bathing them in salt water so hopefully that will help even a little, but see what district nurse says on monday about it... i'm more worried about the period bleeding i am having kinda werid how heavy its been

have they told you to clean the stitches?
they told me to not let water on them untill they were removed (hence the waterproof bandaids they gave me for in the shower)
don't know what the procedure is for when they get infected though

so sorry to hear they've been so rough, bruises on your back and arm, ouch,
must be scary to wake up with that.

boo for the bleed that is still so bad, i remember it was hard to move around the first days,
and just wipe when going to the toilet was a whole lot of effort, i had my period then too (but already more the end of it)
and i already thought "baaaaah why do i have to have my period now! booo this sucks",
so i really really feel for you with the heavy bleed. hope your OH spoils you this weekend, you need and deserve it!

because they are desolveables they told me to wash and clean them as much as i wanted but not to much....

tbh i didn't notice until thursday/friday my partner has been pointing them out. sadly no spoiling for me this weekend its my son's birthday party tomorrow.

aaah desolveables, that's why i couldn't see them! :)

wow, time goes fast, the party is tomorrow, i thought you had more days ahead before that big day!
i'll keep my fingers crossed for you and will send get-better-vibes your way!

yip wee mans party tomorrow and his actually birthday is tuesday though.

in uk they only use desolveable stitches now for this op.

Lynne, I'm so sorry to hear about your horrible experience so far! I have also read your other thread and it just sounds so terrifying! I've got mine booked in for July 5th and on one hand I can't wait to get some answers but on the other I'm scared!! I've got such a low pain threshold and I'm really worried I'm not going to be able to cope!

So does the doctor come in when you wake up to explain to you what they've found? Do they advise you at that point what they think you shoulld do next or did you have to wait for your next appointment with your consultant?

I hope you feel better soon! x

don't be scared hun i just got really unlucky lol... you'll be fine, before i was due to leave the ward the doctor came in and told me a little about what they found i have to see my consultant in a few weeks who will talk me through everything they found and then decide from there...

you'll be fine hun huge hugs

Lynne x

Hi Hun
it will get getter better just keep taking it easy. I had a massive bruise after mine and even some hand marks were they pushed down on me. I have really bad adhesions and they couldn't even get to my ovaries. The scars will heal just clean them with boiled water and salt and watch out for any signs of infection. Sorry you've had a rough time but hung in there x

after today i feel terribly for even moaning my grandmother let slip she has bowel cancer
