I've just noticed as I've been at the computer that I've got black dots in my vision. As I try to look at them they move away...

There isn't many, only about 3 or 4 I think, but I can see them with both eyes.

I had my ante-natal yesterday and my bp was 100/60 which is normal for me.

What do people think?

I've started with a cold too - could it be related?

I have been seeing spots too. My blood pressure is not high but it goes from 80's/60 to 120's/75. My doctor said she does think is caused by flucuation in my bp and to keep an eye on it.

It sounds like floaters to me which are annoying but harmless, they kind of float about in your vision, you look left they they float left. If your bp's ok it's probably just them.

Sometimes they can be an indication of the onset of a migraine. But mostly they are just a harmless phenomenon (I get them daily). With your bp where it is, I wouldn't worry. Probably not related to your cold, but you never know!

I've had these for a couple weeks now, and like you my BP was low (about 90/50) and has increased to 135/60 which isnt "high" but is high for me, but my midwife and doctor don't seem concerned, even though I am concerned. I've had these black spots, sometimes white flashing spots, and sometimes pressure headaches....

I have these, as Sarah said, they are floaters. Basically dirt on your eye. They can come and go, but due to my serious eye condition, mine stay.

You can get them cleaned away. I'd still recommend talking to your GP. They'll probably refer you to an optician. But you can never be too sure when it comes to your eye sight.

Sounds like floaters. I actually went to the eye doctor to find out if there was something seriously wrong. Turns out that tiny pieces of debris floating through the vitreous fluid in the eyeball. They cast a small shadow which is why they appear darker, however the debris floating around in there is actually opaque. Floaters are not on the outside of the eye which may sound kind of scary but it happens to about 65%-70% of people. Probably just a coinsidence that it's happening along with all the other changes in your body right now and they'll go away in time. Annoying, right?? xo
