blah... who else feels fat?

My clothes don't fit, my stomach is huge but is definately not a bump yet (looks more like a "B") and I have already gained 8 pounds!!!! I feel so gross and fat

I know, I can't wait until my uterus moves up and I have an actual baby bump! Where in California are you?? I am also in California, in San Francisco! It's not too often that I find people on here from California, so I am very excited!

Minkie: Yup definately! I lived in LA for a while while I was in graduate school and my husband's best friend lives in Fountain Valley. My husband is also from LA (Palos Verdes) so we go down there every once and a while to visit family and his friend

Everyone: Hopefully our time is coming soon where we will feel pregnant and not fat anymore!!

I have a feeling you wont I didn't get to 12 weeks before people at work started noticing. I also work with kids and one of them last week asked me why I was getting so fat!

Was near my first tearful moment over my weight this morning but pulled it together. I feel like nobody understands how I feel. I know I dont look pregnant yet, but none of my clothes fit, and I cant go buy maternity clothes yet so Im stuck in sweat pants and sweatshirts. I have a birthday party to go to and I have several friends going to be there that dont know Im pregnant yet (waiting to tell them until my first u/s in two weeks) and I was trying to figure out what I was going to wear and not make it obvious that somethings up. My friends advice was to just make my friends think Ive gained weight...I DONT WANT EVERYONE TO LOOK AT ME AND THINK IM JUST GETTING FAT!! Ahh the joys of early pregnancy!

I'm in the same boat as you all! I was shocked to find that I gained 10 lbs within the first 4 weeks (I weighed in at 132 ) It's a tad depressing, I'm used to being fairly thin but now my clothes don't fit and it doesn't help that I have no energy...just adds to the lazy fat feeling.

But I'm almost 8 weeks. I can feel my uterus poking out some so at least I have that. My husband says I look pregnant but he thinks that those who don't know will probably just think I'm a fatty.

Hate this early pregnancy-bloated phase!

I think I'm only 5 weeks tomorrow but I still can't believe how bloated and chubby I feel already?! My jeans feel tighter and my tummy definitely isn't as flat as it was, I'm fairly sure I'm not imagining that!

Hi! , Getting a big belly is part of being pregnant ... and my OH said everything gets bigger your hands your feet .. everything because of the bubs your carrying! I know it sounds horrible sorry lol , but personally as a guy i dont think it matters ( not speaking for every man ) but for me it's something really special and awesome and i could never look at a girl that is pregnant and call her unattractive or ( fat ) especially my OH. So i dont know if this helps but keep your chin up girls! Because fat belly or no i'm sure your OH's love you just the same.

Nice frenchfry! Had my first DD at Fountain valley hospital, I love it around here!

Ladies--at least we can all feel fat and bloated together!! Maybe the trick is lay off the jeans, get some long flowy sun dresses that show off our huge boobies but hide the gut!! (oh yah and thanks Corzy, but it does make it hard when your DH is constantly commenting on your huge gut and saying people will just think your getting fat!!! LOL)

I have a feeling you wont I didn't get to 12 weeks before people at work started noticing. I also work with kids and one of them last week asked me why I was getting so fat!

Kids are brilliant for noticing such things - and saying them out loud!!

I might start wearing a sack to cover me up.

Yep, I'm in the same boat. I also work with kids & had comments from bout 8weeks. 2 outright asked me if I was pregnant - I laid into them so hard they won't be asking anyone ever again!!!! I now have a B belly - am glad that it's not all fat!!!! I think other people will just think I have put some weight on but I can feel my uterus beginning to move upwards & don't think it'll be that long before I'm really showing. I've taken the leap (after weeks of the hair bobble trick) and bought some maternity clothes - argh!!!!!!!! I'll be picking them up tomorrow & hopefully they'll be way comfier than the clothes I'm currently in which aren't comfortable at all!
