Bleached Hair

Hey all. Up until about 4 months ago I had bleached blonde hair. It's now completely natural brown and I really don't like it.

I don't suppose it's safe to bleach my hair now is it? x

I had mine bleached the other day it's perfectly safe - they only say be cautious because your hair changes in pregnancy but mine is fine

I would have it done at a salon, not at home, just in case.
They say to be extra careful because women can develop allergies/sensitivities they didn't have before pregnancy, so be sure to do a 48 hour test first.
Also, many women experience a change to the hair structure and oils, so the bleach may not take as it did before, take better than it did before, or it may damage incredibly easy and break off.
A salon should take an unnoticeable clipping of hair and test it for all of the above possible problems. They also don't tend to actually put the bleach any where near the scalp

I've waited until after first tri with both pregnancies before I ad my roots done, as advised by my midwife.And do them every 6-8 weeks in pregnancy when I normally do them every 4-6.x

I've not long had mine done. it turned out same as usual but i agree with previous poster my hairdresser makes sure that the bleach don't touch the scalp. xx

I've been getting my hair done with blonde foils instead of bleaching the whole head. This way the chemicals aren't going directly on the scalp.

Hhehe this made me giggle. .. I dyed my hair brown just before I got preg coz I didnt wanna have to do regrowth every month while pregnant... I hate it too! Lol

I put a full head of foils in a few months back and gwtting them done again soon coz if I bleach again mt hair will probably fall out lol...

You should be fine to bleach! Juaf make sure u are in a well ventilated area tho coz the smell might be a bit strong for ya

Hi hun make sure it doesnt touch your scalp and youl be fine, youd be best having a full head of foils. Iv had mine done twice after 14 weeks i was so so so worried at first but it really is fine x

Yep! As everyone keeps saying as long as the bleach is kept off the scalp it's fine.

Lush do some colour blocks as well which are safe to use whilst preg but that's only if u wanted to be darker x

I had a full head of colour... I am fine, mine was painted on as well
