Bleeding after c-section - how long

I'm 5 weeks out and still bleeding. Not heavy, but pinkish/browish/blackish stuff. For the past two days there was nothing, then yesterday...it started again. GAH

My sister and brother-in-law are the proud new parents of baby Atlanta May, my lovely new niece.
My sister lost 4 and a half litres of blood during her emergency C-section and spent a day in induced coma in ICU whilst surgeons tried to save her life and her uterus. Which they did, thank God. Extremely stressful for everyone involved.
She is desperate to leave hospital but is terrified that she may start haemorrhaging uncontrollably and lose her uterus. With each shift change at the hospital, a new set of rules and guidelines get passed down to us, does anyone know what we should expect next?
Any advice?

I bled for 9 weeks.

im on day 7 and mines virtually gone.. this concerns me because when this happened with my second son it was because a huge clot was at my cervix.... im really worried its gonna happen again because of this sudden stop in bleeding.
