bleeding after eprc/ d&c

i had mine done on wednesday, didn't bleed huge amounts after it, but thursday/ friday & today having what I would get on a heavy day during my period......

not soaking pads (what ever that really means, i never understood), having crampy type feelings too. The nurse that discharged me said it would have tapered off by Friday, but today its red like a period.....

I rang gyne ward yesterday morning & told them & nurse said that by monday it should be tapering off.....getting such conflicting info & everytime i see the blood i get a bit woozy because it scares me that there is something wrong

What is the general on blood loss after

Thank you for the information about how it was for you after d&c. Just posted a similar question as I go in for mine tomorrow. Hope the bleeding has tapered off for you, and that you are able to find some peace in the little bit of closure. So sorry for your loss.

I had my d&c last wednesday and barely bled for a few days after. Now, for 2 days, I've been bleeding heavily. Not soaking through pads, but a lot of dark red blood when I wipe and a few clots.

Nurse said it was normal and that I would be bleeding more the more I move around. (I had gone back to work 2 days ago). She said not to worry unless it becomes foul smelling and/or weird discharge because that could be a sign of infection.

Just thought i'd tell you my experience, I had my ERPC on the 6th Sep so 3 weeks ago today, I bled alot during the procedure but after I had hardly any bleeding, for the 3 days after I just had brown stuff when wiping! Then about 10 days after I bled for a few hours then stopped, then it happened again a couple of days later and since then I have had nothing so im guessing its not a waiting game for AF to come.

Hiya, I also had a lot of blood loss during op. I then bleed for 10 days but most of that was light. Then nothing more til first af which was 35 days after d&c/eprc.

I had my d&c august 10th and I hardly bled for about 2 days and then had heavy bleeding for about 2-3 days then light bleeding for another couple days and then spotted for a week (but if i moved around too much i would start bleeding more). I got AF 5weeks 5days after the procedure.

Don't worry about the bleeding unless it smells bad, cramps are unbearable or you start running a fever. Best of luck to you and I hope the bleeding goes away quickly for you!
