So basically me n OH had intercourse and I bled bright red blood not spotting but not majorly bad and no clumps or brown. Its been 20 mins and its just spotting now, no pain or discomfort. Checked babys heart beat with my doppler and all seems ok there and have felt him kicking.

It has been a while since we last had sex so Im guessing it is probably just because its so sensitive and theres alot going on down there.

Has anyone else had this do I need to contact the antenatal ward n get checked out?

It's completely normal. Your cervix is a lot more sensitive now and there is more blood flow down there.

so even tho its not spotting and there was a fair bit of blood (not too much tho) its all ok?

Yeah if it continues or you got any clots then I would say to be concerned but the likelihood is its just blood vessels or irritation to your cervix huni x

thanks ladies ... just want lil man to move abit more now and reassure me lol he has moved but I want him to party

I had the same thing about a month ago. My hubby and I hadn't messed around for a few weeks and we had'nt technically had sex he was using his fingers (sorry if tmi!) but i noticed quite a bit of blood. it took a few hours for it to completely subside but after the initial blood it was just spotting.
i freaked out (as most preggo women do and didn't listen to my doctors) and went to the hospital.
they said cervix is just sensitive.

so long as your baby's heartbeat is regular you should be fine.

COUNT THE KICKS! always!
if he/she's moving around, then you should have no worries

I had that in my last pregnancy. It always happened when we were too rough (sorry TMI) but I got tested by the doctor and she just said that its because your cervix is really sensitive with all of the blood vessels etc. Its totally normal as long as it goes away the same day.

Hi after 20ish weeks I always bled after sex. We didn't do it often though. Sometimes it'd be bright red and once it even dripped out of me sorry TMI!!! I noticed it nearly always calmed down and turned to light spotting/brown after s few hours or a day. Also the last time I bled it went on for a few days which worried me (this was last Monday! ) I took my self to the labour unit as advised. I was given an internal and told I have a cervical ectropian don't know if I've spelt that right sorry ! But my cervix is very sensitive and prone to bleeding! Some swabs where also taken
and the results said I had thrush and bacterial vaginosis. I was given cream that is inserted into the vagina with a syringe (just like using pre seed if anybodys used this !) the cream stopped my bleeding( after the first application) which had lasted nearly a week. So I'd say you either have a sensitive cervix or if you think you may have an
infection you can always get tested as I know BV can irritate the cervix making it prone to bleeding and sensitivity. Sorry it was soooo long. Hope you're okay as I know too well how worrying it can be! Xxxxx

Thanks for this hun, the bleeding has stopped completely now and I have checked lil man's heartbeat again this morning and it seems to be regular enough and he has been moving so thats a good sign on his half. If when we next have sex it happens again I may just give the antenatal unit a ring and speak to a midwife just to get her opinion on if I need to go up the hospital or not. But for now I will leave it as bleeding has stopped, I have had no pain and lil man seems happy enough as far as movements go.

It is worrying but at the same time I dont wanna go rushing up the hospital if theres nothing wrong lol If I went every time I worried about something I would be there weekly lmao, but if if happens again next time I will deffo fone n get checked for an infection
