Hello

Just went to the loo and when I wiped there was some blood and when I looked there was a tiny amount in my pants too.

My LO is 16 weeks old and I stopped bleeding AGES ago. I have no period pain although I did have some period type pain about 3/4 weeks ago. My periods were agony in the past so don't really see how it can be a period.

Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas or advice?

Thanks

Also still exclusively breast feeding if that makes any difference?

Childbirth can change your period! Before I had kids, mine were loooong and heavy and just really horrible. After my first baby, they lasted half as long, were fairly light and I didn't bleed at all at night, never got cramps, etc.

So it could just be your period coming. Perfectly possible to get your period at any time while breastfeeding.

If this is what my periods are going to be like from now on I'll be very happy!!!
Thanks x

Don't think it can be a period as I've had nothing else since. Any ideas?

If you are worried then go to your doctors - my LO is 9 weeks old and my periods / bleeding is all over the place - and am not worried xx

Hi hun,

I used to have very painful and heavy periods, then I had DD1 and they got less painful and lighter, now I have just had my DD2 my bleeding stopped after birth around 3-4 weeks, then I started my first period the Thursday just gone, she was dead on 8 weeks that day. It is still a little heavy but felt hardly any pain at all, they say your first period after a birth is rather heavy, so I am hoping it eases on my next :) xx

My LO is 15 weeks and I haven't stopped losing old blood, not a lot, like a tinged discharge...
Also EBF.

Same has happened here, I used to have awful periods, I would be sick, get anemic and felt rubbish. My periods were really heavy since having LO they came back about 15 weeks, they are shorter, lighter and no longer painful. I am breastfeeding to. My dr told me before having LO that my periods might get better after having a baby. They also seem to be more regular
