Bleeding - update

With my all of my loses I spotted for a day or 2 then had a heavy bleed that lasted about 24 hours during which time I felt it pass was almost like a large clot about egg sized I suppose after that the bleeding slowed down again the pain was incredibly awful but got worse with each loss so much so I passed out with the pain.

If you can have someone with you I would advise it big hugs to you hun your in my thoughts :hugs::hugs:

Any updates Jen? I'm curious to see how this is working out for you.

When I had my first miscarriage, I never knew I was pregnant until it was over and my friend finally talked me into going to the ER. They didn't do a d&c because it was over but, if I remember correctly, I spotted for about 3 or 4 days then bled so heavy with tons of clots for nearly 2 weeks. It was so bad that I went through a tampon and pad every 20 minutes.

My second miscarriage was a lot less awful. This time I knew I was pregnant but 10 days later, the bleeding started. It was spotting for a day or two then came more. I was clotting more than normal but my bleeding was almost like a regular period. It lasted about 5 or 6 days, which is also pretty normal.

During my pregnancy with my son, who was in between the two miscarriages, I had what the doctors at the ER called a "threatened abortion", also known as "threatened miscarriage". Basically it was my body's way of telling me that I needed to change something or else I would lose the baby. With this, the blood was bright pink and I was in so much pain, they had to prescribe me pain killers to be able to rest.

With this pregnancy, I am currently 10+3 and at 8 weeks, I had dark brown blood when I wiped. I left work immediately and went to the ER where they told me it was a "threatened miscarriage". When I went to my appointment with the specialist the next morning, they found out that I had a sore inside my uterus that was causing the bleeding and had nothing to do with the baby at all but that it was old blood that was finally making its way out.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is this:

Brown blood = old blood, meaning more than likely you're in the clear.
Bright pink or red blood = complications that need to be looked at by a Dr immediately, just in case.
Bright pink or red blood with clots = possible miscarriage, also needing Dr's attention.

You never know for sure what's going on until you either find or don't find a heartbeat..

Best of luck to you and hopefully things will be in your favor!! Keep us posted

I'm so sorry hon. I just miscarried Friday morning.

Something very similar happened to me. I have a post about it on here if you'd like to read. I am now 13 weeks. I would recommend drinking tons of water, asking for helps with the kids, and taking a day to stay off of your feet. Call your doctor and ask for an early ultrasound. Try not to assume the worst and hang in there. :hugs:

Nothing new to report. This is so much harder mentally than I thought it would be. Still cramping and spot bleeding, some very small clots. Mainly every time I wipe it's a lot of bloody mucus. I did call the doctors office just to be safe, but they said unless I have heavy bleeding that I am fine to wait until my ultrasound on Tuesday. This sucks. I really feel alone and that's making it extra hard so there are not words to express what's the support on this page means to me.

I'm so sorry. It really is awful wondering and waiting. So so stressful. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Even though things didn't go how I so badly wanted them to go, it was a huge relief to have a final answer. I pray you get that relief Tuesday.

Jen I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's so heartbreaking to have to wait and see and pray for a miracle. Sending you hugs.

I am also in the midst of a miscarriage. I would have been 6 weeks today, but I've been bleeding and cramping for the last 5 days. I have an ultrasound appt tomorrow morning to see if there's anything left.

My heart aches for you and I am so sorry to hear that. It is so much more common than I ever thought. Wishing us both luck for our appointments tomorrow. Don't waiting and the mental is the hardest I think. At least for now.
