Blocked tubes and trying to conceive

Hi,
Im new to this so hope Im posting in the right place.
Im so in need of someone to talk to as I feel so alone...
Here is my story.

Im very lucky to have a beautiful daughter 14 years old and desperately want another child, my husband and I have been TTC for 5 years I went to the doctors and explained that my daughters father (not my husband) had cheated and left me with a delightful parting gift.... the clap!
It went undetected for many years, got it treated but i didnt know It could cause so much damage.
The doctor told me not to worry and even if one tube is blocked they jump over so I left happy and trusted in what she said... another 3 years passed and still no

Long story short I collapsed at work doubled in pain and ended up at A&E
explained my ongoing pain and problems with getting pregnant....
I finally got to see a fertility doctor had a lap & dye test... both tubes blocked!!!
Still dont know to this day what the shooting pains were.

So anywho... after being in a state of shock for a few months & lots of research I want answers from my doctor as I wasnt told the extent of the damage ... scar???... mucus ???... ect.

I have read sooo many stories of women being told they have blocked tubes and falling pregant... wishful thinking but staying positive.
I come from a very strong bloodline of pagan healers so I truly believe the doctors are wrong and I will heal myself with natural medication,crystals,affirmations & positive thoughts.
Also Im going to purchase a clear blue fertility monitor and give that a try as i truly believe I can conceive naturally and my natural medication healing will help and we are TTC @ wrong time as Im irregular
I also do card readings and my cards have indicated a natural pregnancy
which has been confirmed by a psychic....
Im also in the process of trying to get a second opinion from doctors as Im armed with alot of info now and need questions answered!!

Would love to hear if you have had same problems and success

My advice to you would be to do 2 things:

1 -Find a specialist (not a regular obgyn) and find out what exactly is blocking your tubes. If it is mucus, they should be able to clear it out during the procedure. If it is scar tissue, then that is another story.

2 - Get some really basic blood work done. CD3 and CD 21 blood tests will be able to tell you if you are ovulating. All of the healing in the world won't make an egg appear if there isn't one.


I do believe in natural healing, herbs, acupuncture, etc... but I think they should be combined with modern medicine for the best results.

If your tubes are blocked with scar tissue from the infection, or worse, the infection has caused scar tissue in your abdomen, I hate to say it, but the natural healing won't work. If it turns out it to be something such as a hormonal imbalance, then the natural healing is a definite possibility!


Yes, you may be able to conceive naturally like you want, but it may not be until after some help from modern medicine to correct a few things first...you need to utilize the best of both worlds. I think it's awesome that you are determined to conceive naturally in the end, but don't get it set in your head that there is only one path to get to that goal. Keep your mind open to the fact that there are several different routes to get to that point, and some of those routes may involve doctor's intervention.

As I said, I believe in both, but I've been doing this for so long and have seen so many people wanting to be 'the exception to the rule' (myself included) and get their miracle. My last bit advice is to be active. I've also seen so many women wait and wait and hold out for their miracle and then find out in the end that it was something simple that could have been corrected years and years ago..they wasted so much time all for nothing.

Hi, thanks for your post.

Im in the process of getting an appointment to got through my results with a fine tooth comb, as now I am armed with better knowledge.
I didn't ask any questions when I finally got my results.

My experience was terrible at hospital.... the doctor didn't come and see me after my op...
I had to wait 2 long weeks for results by me ringing his PA!
I was referred back to hospital to explain my results... I was still in a state of shock I got shown my photos and told even tho both tubes are blocked at distal end not to worry as thy can do some amazing things... so i left happy & hopeful.

My next appointment was with the IVF clinic at the SAME hospital, just different unit...
I arrived at my IVF appointment happy and hopeful I was so wrong!
The IVF doctor refused to see me and it was a nurse that sat me down to explain to me there is nothing he will do for you because you have a daughter (not my hubbys) my hubby has no children i explained....
This doesn't matter.... He will not do anything for you....
I was a mess when I left the IVF unit...
I had to to all my appointments & operation on my own due to my hubby not being able to get time off work...

Since getting over my shock and doing lots of research I have read similar horror stories that here in the UK Doctors are very quick to get you on to IVF because you PAY for it!

So I now have no faith in western medicine as all I have left is natural healing and my faith....
The only thing Im going to push for is a HSG as I have been swatting up on it and because I will awake during procedure so I feel Im in control.

I live in hope that my Dr are wrong and I did have a little trickle of dye or I had spasm during dye test.

Another strange thing.... I had no dye on my underwear after or on my bottom...
AND I was on my period the morning of opp as I came on an hour before opp (sorry tmi)
Doctor still said I was fine to go ahead as I was due to go down to theater...

I have also bought a CBFM to start tracking my cycle Im hoping that with my herbs and healing we might have better chances as I believe my blockage is not a true block and could be light scaring and gunk? sorry tmi.
I will be posting my results good or bad as It may help another further down the line...

Oh I forgot to add... I did have blood work before opp and all normal with ovulation my cycle is 32 days with my guess of ovulation being day 17... and I feel it popping out (egg) & by goddess its painfull. xxx

I had both tubes blocked(confirmed via lap) and managed to open my right using an enzyme called serrapeptase. I also did castor oil packs and took a cinnamon poria pill. Still trying to open my left tube as I wait to schedule my IUI. Good luck!!
