Blood test for hcg levels - what time of day?

Can you have a blood test done for hcg levels any time of the day or does it have to be first thing in the morning like for other blood tests?

As far as I am aware it can be done anytime hun. I know the hgc builds in your urine overnight etc and thats why hpt's should be done 1st thing, but think you're ok for the blood test. Did your doc give you any advice?

i haven't booked an appointment yet because i registered with my gp on thursday and they said i should wait 3-4 until i'm in their system to book an appt.
in the meantime though, my private health insurance have confirmed that i'm entitled to a gyne. appointment, including a scan, so i may go for this one and see if they suggest a blood test. they do late appts. so i may book one after work.
i'm 2 weeks late and keep on getting BFNs, i want to find out what's going on.

Yeah you need to find out what's going on hun. Do you keep track of your cycles and when you ovulate?

this is my first month TTC so it's all still a bit disconcerting but for the past 3 months I've been doing ovulation tests and it all seemed quite regular (33 day periods - ovulated on day 20).
