Hi all,

After stopping Yaz a year ago and having irregular cycles (22-45 days), I went to see my doc to find out what is going on. She ran some tests and ruled out PCOS. She's now ordered two more tests...one on the 3rd day of my cycle and one on the 23rd. Anyone know what these tests are for? She left it on my voicemail so I didn't have a chance to ask.

Thanks!!

usually to see your hormone levels during your period and the 23 day test is to see if you ovulated.

They are normally called day 21 tests, but this doesn't mean they should be done on CD21. They should be done 7 days post ov. If you ovulate on say day 20, then they would be done on day 27.

Day3-5 you should have: TSH, FSH, LH, E2 (estradiol), prolactin and testosterone (not everyone tests these)
7days post ov: progesterone
