Bloody Show?

How do I know? I had my cervix checked today, she said I would definitely bleed. I was 1 cm dilated, and 80% effaced. I just went to the bathroom and I had a lot of mucas (more then I've ever had) with blood in it. Is it my bloody show? I just read in my what to expect book that means labor will probably start within 24 hours! OMG! (also said it can be up to a few days in some cases)

When I went to the bathroom at Target there was also a large chunk with blood, but it was in the toilet.

i just had my cervix checked on wednesday, the day before my due date. i bled quite a lot considering that i havent had a drop of blood since falling pregnant...like enough to need a liner. i had pinkish/brownish blood and mucus for about 24 hours every time i used the bathroom, and also quite a bit of cramping to go along with it. i was hoping it was the start of something, but today the cramping has dulled down and i am only getting bits of brownish mucus every once in awhile. for me, i dont think its anything starting, but ill keep my fingers crossed for you that something starts up soon!

sounds like your plug but it can be a while for labour to start, i had a sweep yesterday and continued to get bloody mucus but not much else but got my fingers crossed for you
