hard one that. I'm not sure. I think I wouldn't but I can't really give you a good reason why not. Presumably once they are all freshly sterilised they should be fine. But new ones are not particularly expensive. I'm sure there's no reason not to use them but personally I'd feel funny about it. It's like I wouldn't buy a second hand breast pump either.
Sure - I agree just sterilize (which you'd do anyway) and buy new nipples. Unless you had your heart set on a certain brand. Sometimes that is important if you are breastfeeding.
Oh and also make sure they fit in the steriliser!! I originally had a Tommee Tippee Sterilser so bought the CTN bottles. After 3 weeks the Steriliser broke so I opted for Avent instead.
It was supposed to hold 6 bottles but because the CTN bottles are so wide I could only do 3 at a time, which was a bit of a pain!
Ah I'd forgotten you could just replace the teats! Baby brain...d'oh! to me, that makes it absolutely fine if they have new teats on as that's the bit that goes in the baby's mouth.
thx for the replies, I wasn't sure in myself how I felt about it!
I have a phillips avent sterilizer & afew new bottles, the 2nd hand bottles happen to be avent as well so I wasn't sure what to do! She has send me all the teats as well, but I will throw them out I think
