Boy's names, again!

Me again, sorry! We find out the gender next week and I'd like a name chosen so that I can refer to baby by his/her name and LO can too. I think it'll make it more real for both of us and help us both to bond (I struggled to bond with LO). We so far have Felix, Jasper and Benjamin. But I'm not 100% on any, and OH is literally no help, and just keeps repeating that he likes Bruno and Wolfgang (settled on Wolfgang as a middle), but that he doesn't care which name we go for.

I've loved Felix for ages, and actually felt jealous meeting another little Felix LO's age a while back. But now I'm not sure. Rory is white haired and blue eyed and I'm expecting this baby to be similar. Someone said it was quite a South American Hispanic name and wouldn't fit. I like foreign names (Wolfgang is German, our girl name is French), but is this true? Does the name seem quite alien and just weird for a blonde baby?

Jasper I like but worry it's trendy. I really like it but don't love it as much as I used to. Plus it's getting really popular.

Benjamin I love but I dislike Ben, and it's a very common name. I also don't want a name that's too boring, is Benjamin boring? His nickname will be Wolfie so hopefully Ben won't get used, but I guess it may well get used in high school when he decides for himself.

Help! Oh, and it needs to fit with Rory. Totally new suggestions are also welcome. I like names that look like they belong on the Times Birth Announcements page. I'm not even nearly middle class, but apparently I like pretentious/weird names.

I think Felix is lovely, and it doesn't sound at all Hispanic to me. It goes well with Rory too in my opinion.

I've known two boys called felix - both white, fair haired, British, middle class boys! If that helps?!

Benjamin is a little plain if you ask me but still a nice name.

I liked Hugo for quite a while but it doesn't seem exactly right for some reason, although a lovely name! I don't like Spencer at all, probably cos of Made in Chelsea, but I don't really love surname names either.

Thanks guys. Is Felix Wolfgang too weird? Is Felix Benjamin Wolfgang better?? I just can't seem to get it to look/feel right. I was the same with girl's names last time and had a boy, maybe it means baby is a girl?!

I think you are having a girl and am quite excited as I love the name Olivie!!! My next daughter (if I have another daughter) will be Olive so this struck a cord with me. Its beautiful and goes with Rory too.

Thanks, I hope so! Not that I wouldn't be absolutely delighted with a little boy but I really want to use the name That said don't have a middle name to go with Olivie either yet and I think I've considered every possible option! I love Olive too, gorgeous name!

When I was thinking of a middle name for Olive. I quite liked Amae. I believe it is French for beloved? I actually think it sounds better with Olivie than Olive. Just an idea. X

I like Benjamin best. Btw I expected my 3rd to be the same as ny eldest (dark hair,green eyes) i could just picture my jade with her green eyes and dark black hair. Turns out she is sooo fair. Blonde and bright blue eyes lol nothing like any of us!

I would sooo love my LO to have darker hair and skin. My mum has traditional Italian colouring with black hair and very brown skin and my little sisters are brunette with tanned skin and brown eyes. I was born practically albino, though! OH is very fair too with bright blue eyes and pale skin, so I can't see the baby being too different. It'd definitely be a lovely surprise though!

I think he would get Felix, especially at school and as he grows older, and when he's in trouble I really love Wolfie for a little boy though!

Lily is beautiful! And although it's apparently common I've never met one in real life.

He's so excited actually, been great about it! I just hope it stays and he copes well when baby is here. His speech is still behind but it has come on so well, he's speaking in (hard to understand) sentences now.

Aw I know, Lily is just my name that I am always drawn to. It's so pretty but also a bit old ladyish which I love. I have a Jack so I'm not too worried about the common bit
