I am so pleased. I just counted it out and I have saved 1092 ounces of precious breastmilk for my LO.

1092 oz... that is 8.5 gallons... that is 68.25 pounds... that is 32,294 mL!

All saved up in my chest freezer.

I am sure other have more than me. Brag and tell me how much you have saved!

Wow! Are you planning a week away without LO? (jus kidding) I have about 10oz in the freezer plus the 4oz that's in my pump just now that I'm hoping will reach 5 before I'm done.

DANG!!! So how often do you pump and how much do you get out? I'm trying to save up a supply so that OH and I can start going out on dates or whatever else I'll need them for, but so far I only have like 7 bags each with between 2-3 oz.

I am actually saving up just because I want to have some for LO after I quit BF. I kinda made a decision that I would quit when she is around 6-7 months, then my freezer stash would come into play.

I used to be an exclusive pumper for her first 2 months, but now we nurse on demand all day. So I pump 3 x at night... 9pm, 2am, 6 am... and I get 20 ounces to freeze from those 3 pumps sessions (She sleeps from 8pm to 8 am).

Wowzers!!!! That is one immense freezer stash! But then, all credit to you for getting up at 2am to pump! If my LO slept all that time I would be keeping my lazy arse firmly in dreamland!

I hated pumping. With a passion. I've stopped now! When I was pumping I tried to keep about 50oz in freezer. We'd use the odd feed if I left LO & I'd top up again. I was proud of my 50oz!!!

We have the same setup here 9pm 2am and 6am... trying to change it to during the day but a bit unsure about when to pump i dont want lo to not have enough food lol sounds silly i know she'll be right.. im thinmking ill stop bfeeding aorund 6-7 months as well and bottle feed lo from expressing what ever i can and feedig outta freezer,,,

oh and i have 2970mls of milk... dont know what that is in oz though...

Blimey thats dedicated to pump at night!! My HV told me to pump at night even when LO was sleeping thru. I nodded and 'mmm'd' but was thinking you have go to be kidding me as if I'm seting my alarm to get up and pump!!!

I dont know how much I had at one point the whole freezer was just full of my milk, no room for anything else! I went back to work when he was 4 months so built up a supply. I probably had 20 bags in there with up to 8oz in at any one time

But then I had a disaster.....

One day after I'd taken out his milk for the day and went to work, I left the freezer door open by mistake. I obviously didnt realise untuil I got home at 3pm and it was all half thawed and ruined. I actually cried!!!

BTW How do u become a milk donor? I hate pumping and have stopped now Im not working but I feel interested in this. Do u have any information midori?

just haven't found the time with DD feeding on demand all day every day. I keep telling myself, I should pump more, I need to pump, but I am constantly doing something so I always forget
