I've been feeling these for weeks and have just got on with it. But surely I shouldnt have them with such increasing frequency?

The past 14 minutes I have had 4.

21:40
21:44
21:51
21:54

That can't be right?

I'm not exactly concerned, more annoyed really, and a bit bemused. Everything else seems to be fine, baby is certainly active etc. I'm certainly not exhibiting any other signs of labour. And I do hope not, I'm only 29 weeks tomorrow.

Does anyone else have BH with such frequency?

Give mw a call just in case. I had loads for a couple of nights when I was 28 weeks and was so certain LO was on her way lol!xx

I've had them be frequent in the past especially at night, at some points my bump has just seemed to be solid for hours at a time.

Thansk Fiore, and wantingno2. Yeah sometimes it feels as if the bump is hard for hours too. What I think I'll do is keep a count and see how I feel later. I'm seeing her tomorrow anyway and I shall bring it up then.

Yeh mention it to her, i wouldnt be too worried though aslong as they arnt painful... i know there really uncomfortable. I've had them for weeks.

I got this the other night about 5 minutes apart for about 8 hours, woke up the next day and they had stopped i was like whatever!! xx

Good thinking batwoman  xx

I had them the other night,
i had about 10 in an hour but then they just went at my scan yesterday everything was fine so maybe its just the norm.
:D
,xx

I am laughing at myself...I was getting all excited yesterday as I had a total of 14...the whole day!!! Ah well :o)

Thanks all

Well I went to bed and almost finished my book (Mike Gayle's The To-do list fact fans) and counted 8 in 45 mins. And then fell asleep.

Didnt wake up to a baby between my legs so I'm not going to worry about it, I'll mention it to her today.

I was exactly the same last night. My bump was hard for hours. Contractions were coming every 5 mins. Was preparing my OH for the big day just in case lol. But they got better after a few hours on the couch and drinks of water.just ready now for them to be back and forwards for the next 11 weeks: )

I get so many I don't count them anymore! I would just relax or change what you are doing and try and ignore them for an hour or so. If they don't hurt and don't get stronger in any way it is completely normal. I saw a consultant about the fact that I was getting hundreds a day from 23weeks in my last pregnancy and I didn't go into labour until 39wks+. If you are worried you can get checked for dialation, but most of the time you will be able to tell if they are real labour or not (I know that now having experienced real labour;-).

If I've been very active or stressed (say during the recent earthquakes ) I've been getting them pretty frequently and they were pretty sore, I've spoken to my m/w lots over the last week and she says as long as they aren't to regular or to painful it's ok.
She recommended changing activity as that should stop them - if they start when I'm sitting try walking, if they start when I'm active try chilling etc

Loving your style!!!!! :haha:

Hope things have settled? I find that I get runs of BH when I powerwalk round the place with a mission eg doing a tesco shop when I'm against the clock, or trying to zip round the trafford centre and be in and out to beat the traffic. Also even being a teeny bit dehydrated makes them worse. When I sit down, drink some water they totally go.
However top of my eviction plans are a lot of shopping...!!! :haha:

I get them SO much..I can't even count.

Me too. Was funny yesterday when we were in Ikea, had one when we were in the cafe eating dime cake...mmm:happydance: Because of the way that I was sat, it was dead uncomfortable so i stopped eating and put my hand on my bump until it went away. DH's face was a picture and he was actually panicking that it was the real thing
