my baby has a cold and one eye is all watery and red.....is it true that breast milk can heal things like that? a friend of mine said someone told her that. does anyone have an experience to share?

my MIL told me that when her boys were young, they had a goobery eye - and her friends baby had a goobery eye as well...

The friend went to the Dr and got a prescription for something to help clear it up

she used breast milk and put it in their eye...

Apparently the prescription took at least 4-5 days to clear it up
her boys eyes were cleared up within a day or 2...

Yup, I've used it on all sorts. It's magic.

interesting! That's a great story....i will be trying to get rid of my LO's boogies now!

My LO had a watery eye last week, and my sister told me to use breast milk and i did for a couple of days and it started clearing up but went to the doctors about it anyway and she laughed at me when i said i was using breastmilk to clear it and said it was ridiculous and just to use cooled down boiled water. So i did that and Bella STILL has a watery eye, so i've switched back to breast milk today and it's looking a lot better...

Wow thats amazing!
Definatly bear that in mind for future,
spose it makes sense tho...natures baby antibiotics really isnt it?
xxxxx

I used breastmilk only on Theos eye that was very icky after birth, I was told the prescription stuff would take a week, with BM it was 100% clear by the morning of the third day. I also used BM on his baby acne, it cleared up really quickly.

My health visitor recommends breastmilk as a cure-all too. I sometimes use it for nappy rash and it works quite well.

yep defo use breastmilk...it's full of antibodies and other good stuff and clears up lots of things...watery eyes, some skin complaints...

Ella had terrible nappy rash that wouldn't go at all, I tried allsorts of creams, changed nappies, changed wipes, etc and nothing worked, then I tried breastmilk about 2 weeks ago and by the next nappy change it her nappy rash had cleared loads and she's not had it at all since! I am so impressed!

Breastmilk rocks! :D
