Breast to formula feeding

Hi. I have a three week old boy and breastfeeding is going ok but i haven't been able to pump. its like i have no milk to pump and am getting really frustrated with it. I guess for all i know the pump doesnt even work properly. Anyway i am going back to school in january so i need to fugure something out before that. I breastfed my oldest and pumped successfully with him. Anyway i was wondering how i ween from breast to bottle feeding? Should i give him a few bottles before i start school just to see how it would go? Any tips would be great. Thanks.

this might be better in the breastfeeding section, I would wait until bf is estalbished at 6 weeks before combining the two, or if u plan to stop bf al together I would introduce bottles slowy. I found pumping first thing helped when boobs were most fullest.
