I am struggling with the motivation to loose this baby weight...I lost 3 stone before through weightwatchers so know I can do it if I have the right support!

I was thinking of rejoining WW but am put off by the new points system - have spent so much money on all the old receipe books etc that it seems like a waste! Can I convert the points easily? Also need to find a daytime group as the usual meeting is at LO bedtime!

What about other groups? Are they worth looking at if I did so well with WW? Are they all ok to do whilst BF as I dont want to be hungry!

thanks!

I am already planning to rejoin WW after this one is born lol.

I was a member briefly after the new points system was launched and the more recent pre-launch recipe books have been re-pointed, the pro points values are on the website.

Otherwise I used to put the old recipes into the recipe builder on the website to work out the new points.

I did ww after uni and lost 2.5 stone but I was always hungry so I have joined slimming world and much prefer it. I have lost 11lb in four weeks and that is taking into account additional stuff for breastfeeding. xx

I just dont know if its going to be a faff as I have all the old material, its hard enough finding time to cook meals from scratch without having to work out the new propoints each time too!

Will I be able to use my old ww receipe books for slimming world then? cos its not points based is it? Should be easy enough in theory?

I actually thought Slimming World was the only one approved for pregnant and Breastfeeding MUMS? May be wrong there though. I couldnt reccomend SW enough  xx

I'm on WW and it's fine to keep on breastfeeding as you get extra points on the new system. I prefer this system to the older one but I do agree it's annoying when you've brought all the bits for the old system. I've been doing the new WW plan for 7 weeks and I've lost 12lbs so far and that's without doing much exercise other than walking. I've still got a lot to lose but I'm happy as it hasnt affected my supply :)

I lost 92lbs breastfeeding my son. I went on a diet and lied and said I wasn't BFing (because they wouldn't take me if I was). I just made sure I got all the food groups, and I took a prenatal vitamin. Wish I had that motivation this time around. lol

I agree with the Slimming World recommendation. I am pretty sure that WW work the same way with extras for BFers but I find SW so easy to follow and you get loads of free foods that don't make up your daily allowances and you can eat as much as you want!!

I have found it quite hard to deal with growth spurts which leave me starving and craving sweet things!!!! There are always ways around it though!

Good luck huni!

You get a lot of unlimited free foods with sw eg pasta, rice, lean meats, eggs, fruits, veg so you could look at a ww recipe and determine what is free and what you need to syn. Just need to make sure you have your extra healthy extras for bf.

And thanks! xx
