breastfeeding and trying for #2 help me out!!

We are currently trying for baby #2 no luck so far. Ive not gotten my periods back but my lo sleeps through the entire night and has for 3 months. I'm not sure what im waiting for or what I can do to boost fertility. Stoping breastfeeding is not a current option due to tummy issues with baby. If any mommies have advice help me out. Can I still ovulate while breastfeeding.

I just weaned my 14 month old three weeks ago because mine still had returned and there's still no sign of them. Going to see a midwife today because I want to ttc as soon as possible and that was my only reason for initiating weaning. DS didn't seem to mine when we did it, but it did break my heart. Now he has absolutely no interest in nursing anymore ��. Some women can still ovulate and then there are those rare breeds like me, who have to completely stop for any cycles to return. How old is your lo?

My periods returned around 14 months while BFing. It's different for everyone! I'm still nursing at nearly 20 months, and I have been ovulating each month since my period started back (although we only just started ttc). It has been less predictable as to when, and my cycles have been longer, but I have indeed been ovulating. Some of my BFing friends started their periods back at 3 months, some at 8 months, some past a year... it depends on the person!
