My 12 weeker is feeding v erratically in last few days sometimes v quick snacky feeds waking more in night . Anyone else ? Is this due to the heat. What are your little ones wearing to bed

It was very warm here yesterday, so last night I put Ella to bed wearing a short sleeved vest and a light pair of pyjama trousers (no socks) in a 1 tog sleeping bag.

She normally sleeps up to 8 hours without a feed at night but was waking for a feed every 3 hours last night.

It wasn't quite so hot today, but still fairly warm, so she's wearing a long sleeved vest with pyjama trousers and a 1 tog bag again.

I remember reading that a baby will let you know if they are too cold, but can't as easily tell you if they are too warm. I fear her overheating and did even try her without her bag last night, but she just won't settle at all unless she's in a bag!

I was at my nurture group yesterday and the nursery nurse (who is extra trained in breastfeeding) said wheb its warm babies might feed more because they want a drink... My LO has short feeds where the fore milk is used as a thirst quencher :)

Mine did that in hot weather. They made up for it at night when it cooled off a little, lol.

That must be what's happening here she woke loads last night for v short feeds . She's sleeping in day bit more too is that happening with you . Every time I try wake her shes v ratty !
