Breastfeeding keeps throwing me for a loop...

Every time I think I've got it nailed I get thrown for a loop. I'm lucky in that our latch is good but some days everything works perfectly, he feeds regularly and well and sleeps well.... Then bam... Out of nowhere he is off his food, feeding all night, sleeping badly...

I know it comes with the territory but it is HARD!

Am I keeping him up too long between naps? Feeding too frequently, too infrequently... I need a manual, a routine... Something!!

Ok. Rant over...

It sounds like you might be hitting the 4 month sleep regression. We were lucky to miss that one. LO hit a growth spurt at that time (missed the 12 week one!) and rolled over front to back. She was a big grumpy puss for a food two weeks.

We seem to be not so lucky with the 6 month sleep regression (she's either late for 4 or early for 6!) My 11/12 STTN baby has been up 3/3:30 the last few nights! I'm hoping this doesn't last long because I miss my sleep!!!

Completely agree! A manual would be awesome! I regularly text friends with baby's and ask them what they would do if their baby was doing what mine is lol!! My lo can have two days exactly the same and sleep for 12 hours straight one night then be up every 2-3 hours the next! I just try to remember when we have bad nights that were likely to be rewarded with a new trick she's been working on!xxx

He has just learnt to roll over, interesting! I hope you get some sleep soon
