I wish these two things could coincide!!!

I'm having some real issues with being able to breathe while I'm sleeping. The only way I've been able to get the top of my bump comfortable enough to sleep is by sleeping on a boppy pillow but this digs in to my lungs. So then I don't breathe. But if I try to sleep without it, I can't, because the top of my bump burns and feels a ton of pressure tugging on it, eventually feels pins and needles, and then goes numb and it's incredibly uncomfortable. And then there's the fire heartburn, for which I am going to get some special heartburn medicine because I can't live with it anymore, it is just too much to deal with.

I feel like not necessarily a failure, but I don't often hear about many other women having as much trouble in their third trimester getting comfortable and sleeping as I do... so I feel a little bit like why am I having so much trouble and other people don't seem to be? It's so frustrating! Anyone else really struggling with sleeping?

I am struggling a lot with it. I haven't slept in weeks. I can't really complain too much about it though as there doesn't seem to really be any cure and me wallowing all day does not help my sanity! I can just try to ease my pain as much as possible.

You're nearly there! Nearly done :)

I'm having massive issues sleeping and getting comfy. The only way I manage it is to prop myself up with pillows and sleep sitting up (which is probably terrible for getting baby into the right position.)

Don't be hard on yourself :hugs: so many women have trouble sleeping at the end stages; my sil could no longer sleep in bed, and had to sleep in a special chair. It's why pregnancy pillows exist! Hope you manage to get some rest soon x

I had more trouble sleeping in my first and second trimesters than my third. All i get asked by other women is how i'm sleeping, because they all slept horribly. I'm mostly fine. I sleep with a snoogle most nights, and on a recliner if i have heartburn or breathing trouble.

I find that I'm comfier on my right than my left, which I then worry about as you're meant to avoid the right, on my left I get the same as you, a numb feeling that's horrible on the top of bump, so I also prop myself up with pillows, I'd say between changing positions and needing a wee I get about 1.5-2hrs at a time!

You're not alone I just think none if us can sleep so no one posts about it xx

My sleeping is slowly going away. I can breathe fine, but I get really bad hip pain in both hips no matter which way I turn or add pillows. My legs will go numb :( or I have to pee every hour on the hour!
I'm so ready to have her, so I can be awoken by crying, not pain!

I'm a tummy sleeper normally, and I've finally hit the point where I can't sleep on my belly (thankfully it lasted this long). So now I sleep-ish with a pillow under me to help get into a side position. I say "sleep-ish" because some nights I can sleep and others, like last night, I got hit with the 3rd trimester insomnia, which is what I got towards the end of my pregnancy with DS1.

It's getting to the point where I go to bed by about 11pm and am up at 3am, clock-watching to 4am and 5am and then finally giving up on sleep altogether by 6am.

We're in the home stretch... and then sleep deprivation from our LOs for awhile and eventually back to sleep one day.

That's exactly like my schedule! I fall asleep sometimes around 8pm, wake up at 10pm, fall asleep around 11pm or 12midnight, sleep a few hours till I get up to go to the bathroom a few times lol, eventually wake up around 3:30am and stay up until about 6am, and usually fall asleep for another few hours... but I've just learned to give up on trying to sleep once I'm awake at 3am - 6am, there is just no sleeping then. Sometimes I'm even up to 7am. Weirdest timing haha. You're right though! We're in the home stretch! :D

I haven't been able to sleep well in months. My schedule is horrendous --- I'll sleep 2-3 hours for several days at random times, then, have a once or twice a week day where I'll sleep from 1am to 3am, and then 8am until 4pm. It's just all whacked! Between indigestion, typical late preggo pains, nocturnal anxiety attacks, weird insomnia, being a tummy sleeper, I don't even know.

Plus I'm still not used to sleeping alone grr.

So done with all of this and can't wait until I'm not sleeping because a little baby needs me, rather than all these things.
