Well its official, baby turned breech on me today at 36 weeks...:( so sad...anyone have a breech baby at 36 weeks and hve LO turn...docs want to schedule csection...:(

They haven't even talked to you about an external version? My friend did that at 36 weeks and baby turned beautifully. Having said that, my baby turned breech on me at my 34 week app't. I have my 36 wk appt in 1.5 weeks and if he's still breech we're going to go through all the options.

When i had my cervix checked last week doctor decided to schedule me an ultrasound to see if baby was breech because she couldnt feel the head.... sooo I will let you know ! I almost want a c-section --- so scared of vaginal birth aaahhhh.... :(

thanks girls, i went for an ultrasound and they confirmed breach..said we can discuss options next week...said they can try to turn baby but at risk of distress to baby :(...anyone hear of trying accupuncture for breech baby?

needshelp,

question for you, Have u felt your baby's hiccups down low as if he/she was in the good ready to go position?

See, she happens to think it migt be breech but i always feel hiccups low and i just wanted to know if thats normal to feel that low even if baby is breech...thanks

oh my gosh! YES! i do...that was my first thought today! i felt hiccups all the time down low so i assumed his head was down there! now, i had an ulltrasound today and they confirmed head was way up by my ribs! booo! i was sooo bummed! and i'm hearing there is little to no chance of him turning at this point!

that is amazing! So i might really have a breech lil one... so do you think you'll get a c section? do they give you the option to turn the baby around or is that totally based on how we feel about it....

if you have your doctor turn the baby it is EXTREMELY painful and theres always a chance that the baby will turn right back around and be breeched again before you deliver.

if my doctor mentions that to me I'm going to firmly oppose it. I don't feel comfortable with that and plus i read some of the risks and i dont feel comfortable with it. I would rather do a c section. They can't force me to do it can they? it is my body...

they cant force you - they strongly urged me not to have one and i had a csection. well im trying for vbac this time and guess who has a breech baby on their hands?! lol ugh stubborn babies!

If my baby doesn't turn I am definitely going to try the external version. Having to share a recovery room after my last delivery with a woman who had had a c-section has made me decide to do just about anything to avoid the section. Having said that...my little brother was breech up until 39 weeks and turned head down on his own. Hoping this one does the same. So there is definitely still hope.

Yes,, hubby and I have talked and we are defn not going t0 try to t turn hiim at this point! my doc said we may be a good candidate but just too many risks...figured If I have to take one for the team and have a few extra weeks to recover, it will be better for us to prevent any distress to our lil one...i'm going in for accupuncture tomorrow to see if that helps him turn naturally....keep me posted on how you make out at your upcoming scan!

ive heard chiropractic care can help turn a baby as well in a less invasive way. i just dont see why someone would the doctor to turn the baby when theres a 50/50 chance of it working, it causes stress for the baby, could hurt the baby, and the baby could always turn back afterwards. id rather have the pain of a csection and my baby be safe
