bridesmaid dress issues opinions needed pls

So ive just been looking into bridesmaid dress ideas and ive seen two i love but i have a small problem :-/
One of my bridesmaids is 18 and the other is 13 months old
ive seen two lovely dresses i like for them but the one for my older bridesmaid is bright red and the one for the younger bridesmaid is maroon and ivory :-/
our colour scheme is red and ivory/white

so my main question was do you think it really matters if the two bridesmaid dresses are a different colour red?

im having trouble finding anything else as i wanted something short and fitted for my older bridesmaid and something longer and traditional for my baby bridesmaid i just cant seem to find any that match in my price range :-/

no i don't think it matters, i doubt you'd be able to find something really similar as the ages are so far apart! my two flower girls are in ivory (age 1 and 3) and the bridesmaids are in purple xx

Hmmm if it bothers you could find a red dress for the older bridesmaid then get a plain ivory dress for the little one and make your own sash to match. I'm sure there's a few highstreet shops like BHS that do little ivory dresses especially as she won't be walking around much.

I think it is not bad to wear different color bridesmaids dresses, in fact i think it is hard for you to find the same color

its v hard tbh the only way i can get them to match is bright red which i think mite be a tarty for a 17 year old iykwim esecially i want it fitted she will look as if shes going clubbing lol
