Brown Spotting after Failed Sweep

My doctor tried to do a membrane sweep today but as my cervix was still quite posterior could only get their finger in so far and did a stretch, I've had a little backache and cramping sensation since but have now noticed brown spotting, is this normal?

Yeah, they say that after a sweep u can experience some spotting as they have irritated ur cervix. It could also be some plug come away or your show.
Fingers crossed it works for u xx

I would also say it may be sum of ur plug, if in doubt tho contact ur mw, x

I had the same today and I'm guessing its plug come away after they've irrated the cervix?
Mine was brown.

i have also had a sweep today, i was bleeding and lost a few little clots, but now looks like its my show good luck to you x

Before I had my sweep yesterday, mw said to expect some bleeding. I didn't get any bleeding at all yesterday but I've been out for a really long walk this afternoon came back to find that I'm losing my plug, I believe its my show. I'm so happy now

I didn't bleed after my sweep with my first but I bled when I was induced when the prostoglandins gel started to kick in. It could just be that its starting to work a little bit! Good luck!

Yep I had this after my sweep followed by plug which looked like a massive oyster in the loo hahaha gross!
