Bumbos/Bouncers, BF nappies and poo explosions!

Just wondering if anyone else always gets a huge leak if their LO poos when they're sat down? Mine is BF so runny poos, but he's not always predictable with when he's gonna do one, so we get at least one leak practically every day.

I've tried pretty much every nappy out there but we still get poo leaks I'm very close to being swayed over to the cloth side...for this reason amongst others, just trying to do a bit of research at the moment.

I assume things will get better [well, smellier, but less chance of leaks] once we start weaning but just thought I'd see if others have the same problem.

Tobi used to poo once a week on a sunday.. usually about lunchtime. He was EBF. The result was a MAJOR explosion! However we use LIDL's Tourjours and they held it in every single time. The one time he was in a Pampers, it exploded out the legs and up the back.

have you tried those?

oh i had daily leaks but since going into cloth then although it gets on the wrap so i have to wash the whole nappy rather than just air the wrap then i havent had any poo on clothes in the last 10days its been wonderful im loving cloth for this reason, and also the bins dont smell half as bad

I've had this problem a few times.
I was originally using Huggies, but switched to Pampers for other reasons. Pampers seem to hold it in much better for me, and I rarely have a leak now!

Yes still get loads of runny poos and all still leak, the Jumperoo is great for getting poo absolutely everywhere and i mean everywhere

I did try the Lidls ones and they seemed a lot better than Pampers in terms of keeping it in, liked the high backs but they seemed to rub him round the legs He does have fat little legs compared with the rest of him though!

Bloody hell, I can't even imagine what a 1 week old poo looks like Finley's just about starting to slow down but up until a couple of weeks ago he'd feed every 2hrs and do a poo with each feed!

Hehe glad to hear it's not just me...well, not good that others have loads of explosions to clear up but ya know
