bump seems lower?

ever since ive started growing my bump, its been quite high up. i noticed yesterday as i looked down that it had gone a bit lower - it didnt seem to stick out as much near my chest. I went over and saw my mum today, and even she said how it looked lower. She then went on to say perhaps he will come early..not something i want to hear at this stage!

i can only imagine he's turned around perhaps...at my 20 weeks scan he was breech so wondering if he's turned the other way already? i didnt think they did that for a few more weeks? im sure with my 1st he was breech until about 35 weeks, and my 2nd about 30.

Have anyone else's bumps changed like this?

I've noticed that my bump has also dropped over the last few days, it was the same as yours before, up near my chest! This is my 1st baby. I didn't get told that mine was breech at the 20wk scan so I don't know if I'm the same as you. Don't know the sex either.

its only because i overheard her mumbling to herself that i knew he was breech lol. ive got a growth scan booked for 28 weeks so guess i'll wait til then to find out. maybe babies these days like to keep their mums on their toes even before they're born lol

Oh I see! Why are you having a growth scan? Is that routine?
Yes they do like to worry us don't they! I was wondering why it's changed shape it seems quite a bit smaller too + not as bloated, has yours shrunk?
My scan pic looks a lot like yours in your avatar, I wonder if I'm team too!

was your scan your 20 week one? could well be....i didnt want to have a guess in prev post in case you deliberately didnt want to know or hear anything about it lol.
i've got to have one done as my bmi is about a gazillion, and my last baby was 8lb 10, so i have the potential for a same size or bigger!
and yes, it does seem to have shrunk, i keep taking pictures and trying to get it right so i can compare to previous ones, my OH thinks im barmy now

8lb 10 wow!! That's a good weight
I've had my 20wk scan but my avatar pic is 12 week (was actually 13wk+5), we're staying team yellow but I'm enjoying trying to guess, was convinced it was a boy at first but changed my mind to girl at about 18wk!
haha I'm the same with getting oh to take pics. I think u can defo tell yourself tho if it's changed can't you but nice to prove it with past pics (in same position etc! lol)

ah well, maybe you have mothers instinct and might be right then...it will soon come quick enough to find out (so im told!) x

Aww good! It's amazing isn't it!! What were your previous labours like? Was it tricky with your last one being 8lb10? x

they werent bad i guess...for labours anyway lol. with my 1st i started contracting the night before was due to be induced...when i went to hospital as agreed i was 3 cm, pains werent that bad. they kept me in and they started getting painful about 10.30 that night, by 12 i was in delivery, epiduraled up, and i slept til about 6.10am when they woke me up to push, he was born 3 mins later lol
my 2nd i had slight back pain when i woke in morning, i went for a sleep as i felt exhausted, woke up again to take my sister to her antenatal appt (she was 4 months behind me) and back pain was worse, finally admitted to self i was probably in labour about 6 when pains got bad, went to hospital at about midnight. epidural didnt work this time, not properly anyway, i was numb from waist down but could feel a lot of pain lol. she was out just after 5.30am. i dont think there was much difference actually. and i lied, she werent 8lb 10 she was 8pb 13! (just got babybooks out again to relive it lol)

8lb13 eeek! Sounds like u had pretty quick labours then? Maybe with this one u should admit it's labour a bit earlier lol or you might not make it Will u be wanting epidural again? they don't always work properly do they was it unbearable or not too bad?

ohh dont be scared! even though i am, you really shouldnt be scared! lol. im going to try and do without an epidural this time round, i plan on staying at home as long as i can and only having gas and air when i go into hospital...although my first epidural worked a treat, my second didnt, so dont want to risk it not happening again. although, i have a low pain threshhold, so i might yet
it perhaps wasnt as unbearable, now i look back on it. at the time, you think, oh god, how am i doing this, i cant, but...i managed to labour with no pain relief (well..there might as well not have been!!) with number 2 and im doing it again, so it cant be that bad lol

Oh good, it can't have been that bad then haha I suppose at the time you're not sure how long the pain's gonna last for so maybe it seems more scary! I hope you have a good labour this time. I'm planning on going to a birthing centre so can't have an epidural anyway... I hope I don't regret it! I'm not too scared really, it's count down now isn't it now that we're past the half way mark woohoo
