Bump shrinkage!

Hi ladies,

Just after a bit of advice.

Anyone else experience bump shrinkage at this stage?

I woke up this morning and my tummy is dramatically smaller than it was yesterday, probably about half the size! Baby is also a lot quieter than previous. I have kind of just put this down to the fact he could have changed position overnight but I must admit I am a little concerned.

I tried to call my midwife just to ask her what she thinks but cant get hold of her, and I really dont want to bother labour ward as I'm sure its nothing that needs serious conern

Anyone else had anything similar and can shed some light?

Usually all depends how baby is lying. If baby is still moving, I wouldn't worry too much.

I would call labour ward to be on the safe side. Xx

For me, until about 3 weeks ago baby could hide quite far in and my belly could look really small at times, especially when lying down. Now it's too big for that.

Have you tried getting up and walking around/bending forward? Could just be baby's position.

my belly shrunk a few weeks ago from one prenatal visit to the next. i was concerned obviously and my OB said its because the baby dropped a little. your baby could be positioned somewhere new and you may have dropped which can make you look smaller apparently
