I don't ovulate until CD 25-30. I've tried soy isoflavones didn't work and caused CRAZY headaches. Is there anything else I can take, try, do? (Besides prescription meds) Vitex? I've heard it takes a long time to build up before it works.

Yea i heard it takes 3 months atleast to regulate, but then again it depends on how messed up your body is. Since you are ovulating i dont think it'll take too log. Also take a look at fertilaid.

Soy will cause your ovulation to occur later in the cycle. Vitex will probably help, but just remember you need to take it for around 3 months (give or take) for it to really kick in.

I'm also a late ovulator (sometimes anovulatory) and I've found that maca root helps a lot, and it's much faster than vitex. I've been having my cycles tracked with blood tests, and as soon as I started maca I got a big improvement in my estrogen and started developing follicles better. I'm still a bit irregular but it might be worth a try for you. Because maca is actually a food it's generally pretty safe. It's supposed to help balance your endocrine system and hormones, particularly estrogen.
