We have this plastic egg timer that goes in the water with the eggs and turns colours to determine the readiness.

Anyway... I put an egg on to boil today with the timer and then went to make a phone call. When I got back, there was a slight burning plastic smell in the kitchen. A lot of the water had boiled off and the egg had cracked open. Not thinking much of it in the moment, I stupidly are the egg.

Now (later), I am freaking out about the exposure to the burning plastic. I was probably exposed by both inhalation and ingestion. I am 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant.

It was just the one time and I feel no ill effects. But I had a loss in December and tend to be an anxious person.

Is this something I need to worry about? Is there anything I can do to lessen the impact? I opened windows and have been drinking lots of water.

TIA

While I am obviously not a doctor.... I would think that this being a one time thing, there's slim chance anything terrible would happen. Good luck :)
