the next person who looks at my baby then has the cheek to say "but they grow up" AAArrrgh! now what the hell is wrong with grown up kids..im so annoyed at these remarks.One woman today at the school said it in front of my 13yr old..needless to say i wasnt happy as my sons face just dropped and must have hurt his feelings.
i love my babies what ever size age they are..
what are wrong with peoples insensitivites and comments!!

I get this too. It depends what mood I am in to which way I take it. Mostly I take it in the spirit it's intended - an ill-judged joke. It makes you feel that you will love your child less/they will be less loveable as they grow older. Personally, I always think 'your child may not be lovely now they are older, but maybe that's more to do with the parenting.'

along the same lines, I REALLY hate when people say to me, "enjoy him now while he's young, cause they grow up so fast...." What does it matter if my son is 3 days, 3 months, 3 years, or 30 years old..?! I'll enjoy and love my son with all of my being as long as I live!!

Gosh, that's a new one. I think if some said that to me, I'd have to reply, "Thank heavens, if I had wanted a permanent baby, I'd get a pet!"
