My name is Jodie Bennett, I am a third year Anthropology student at Durham University, currently researching for my dissertation entitled "Caesarean section vs. Vaginal birth: How medical intervention has affected childbirth since the 1950's"

I am carrying out a biological-anthropological study, comparing the number of non-genetic difficulties in children in the first 3 months of their life. Over the last sixty years there have been many changes in medical procedures and my aim is to see if medical intervention has caused any new problems.

My research method involves distributing questionnaires to people of varying age ranges. With the answers I receive I hope to discover whether there is a pattern between the level of medical intervention used and difficulties a child experiences shortly after birth.

If you would like to take part, please email me at [email protected]. Your help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Jodie
