calling green fingered ladies

I ordered some fresh corriander and mint when I did last week, and by fresh I mean bag's of it. Well they sent me plants, now the mint's not that bad it's ok on my kitchen windowsill, but the corriander is getting abit over grown for the windowsill and big for it's pot, so was just wondering can they go outside or cut some of the stem's down?

Im REALLY not a plant person.

yeah so do I, we started a veg patch but we didn't get much veg from it... me and OH are just not the sort for plant's
