DS is 11 months and has had reflux since he as born. He's been on all the different meds and nothing has worked, he's still sick.

He doesn't have any pain but is sick every day multiple times. He's been on anti reflux milk for months which is better than the first milk but still not great.

He's seen a dietician who said she doesn't think it's a milk allergy as he only has one symptom and three symptoms would be needed to diagnose cmpi.

Weaning hasn't helped. He just vomits undigested food throughout the day and it's horrible.

We're just at a loss as to know what to do. We're waiting on a paediatrician appt but that's not until January. He's been seen by gp several times and I'm just told he'll grow out of it which Im sure he will but who knows when. He's 11 months already and it shows no sign of getting any better.

Would a cranial oesteopath be of any use or would be just be wasting our money? Has anyone had any success with this for reflux?

No success but if you decide to try a cranial osteopath will you update if it works?
DS is 7 months and sounds pretty similar, we started weaning st just over five months because of poor weight gain and now we just have smellier sick! Everything is covered in sick, had to wait an hour to go out the other day because I had no clean clothes and no time to wait fir a wash, OH had to buy me a new top from adds do we could leave the house. DS can go through up to ten outfits a day too!
How much milk is your LO on a day? DS has dropped to three and occasionally only two 7oz bottles a day and we have to dream feed one of those but he is just refusing them. He was particularly sick after fish pie which I realised after was a lot of milk in the white sauce and the mash and butter in mash too. We have replaced cows milk in his solid meals with alternatives and have seen some improvement on the days he refuses his middle of the day bottle but he is still bringing up over half of every bottle. Strange thing for us is it didn't start till about ten weeks. GP says just reflux but the mess make hardly any difference and a we have already been warned the referral to the hospital will take months. Sorry so long, don't see many people posting about this still being s problem after weaning. Thankfully DS isn't bothered by it at all, smiles through it lol.

He's on two 8oz bottles a day now. One in the morning and one at bedtime. Three bottles at your DS age is about right. If my DS has cereal after his morning bottle he's really sick. He can't cope with all the milk. When he was waking at 6.30am he was having 4oz in a straw cup and 4oz in his cereal but he's waking 5.30/6 at the moment so to give us a bit of extra time in bed he has an 8oz bottle followed by toast for breakfast. He's even sick after that. By 8am he's usually been sick about six times.

Yesterday he was so sick all day I couldn't even tell you how many times, lost count by mid morning. I'm beginning to think he hasn't even got an oesophageal sphincter let alone an immature one!

Some days it's not manageable and other days it is. I don't know what his deal is but apparently it's not allergies. We're awaiting allergy testing as he's definitely allergic to eggs as he gets a rash around his mouth and he's sick after them. He's not great with prawns either. Or fruit, most fruit is off the menu. He can't tolerate any sort of berries, strawberries, raspberries etc. and he can't cope with banana very well either, he's badly sick after these fruits.

I don't know, he's been sick virtually every day of his life so far and 11months is a long time to put up with so much stinky sick!

I wish I had a solution for you, but I just wanted to weigh in against the craniosacral therapy. :-/

We went to one craniosacral appointment in desperation when our son was having trouble nursing, and it felt a lot like going to a psychic. The things he "felt" in our son's head were completely generalized, and often off-base. And of course, we saw absolutely no results afterwards. This guy was highly recommended in our community, so I am prone to think that the problem wasn't just this particular therapist.

We went into it with an open mind, but after we got home, we did some googling and found a whole lot of experts saying that it doesn't work, and we could find no credible evidence saying that it actually does work. I know that lots of people do recommend it and find it helpful, and our best guess about that is that it's a placebo effect. So much of our babies' behaviors are linked to the way we approach them, so maybe if the therapy gave parents more confidence regarding something like nursing difficulties, then that could help.

I hope I don't offend anyone out there, but I wanted to share my experience because I wish someone would have saved me the $100. :)

My son has struggled with reflux too but switching formulas (to Nutramigen) helped a lot, and he's definitely growing out of it at almost 9 months now. I hope yours gets better soon!

Has your little one had omeprazole? My daughter has it daily. She has suffered since she was born.
I just want to say you said your dietician said she doesn't think it's a milk allergy cause your little one only has one symptom. Having reflux is one of the main symptoms. My GP and doctors at A&E fobbed me off till my daughter was 10 weeks old, it can't be milk allergy cause she hasn't got any symptoms other than reflux and the occasional rash on her face. Low and behold my daughter is allergic to cows milk protein. She has been on nutramigen AA (now puramino) since she was 10 weeks old. And she takes 10mg of liquid omeprazole as day for her reflux.
Does your baby have any other symptoms? Eczema, constipation, runs, suffer with tummy pains, sickness??? Xx

That's the thing, he doesn't have any other symptoms. He's not irritable, bowels are normal, no skin problems. He's putting on weight.

The dietician said hypo allergenic formula at his age wouldnt really work now as it tastes foul and once they are established on solids and been exposed to many different tastes he would almost certainly completely reject it at this stage. Six months ago he could have had a trial as he would have accepted the awful taste more readily. Plus the fact we'd need to go completely dairy free for a four week trial then reintroduce dairy to see what happens but we'd be very very limited on foods to give as dairy sneaks into most things. She thinks he'd be negative for cows milk allergy but we've been referred for allergy testing anyway because of the egg allergy he has.

He's been on ranitidine, domperidone, gaviscon and omeprezole- nothing worked, he was still just as sick, just as often.

The other thing that says it's not a milk allergy is he's not sick every time he has dairy. Some days are better than others and other days he's constantly sick.

About a month ago he wasn't sick for a week and we thought we'd turned a corner once he was pulling up to standing and cruising. We thought that was the end of it then it started again which completely baffled us.
