Hiya, just hoping someone can help, myself and DH have been trying to conceive for our second baby for the last 4 years, I have a very irregular cycle of between 45-66 days, I got diagnosed with Pcos at the age of 14 never had a "normal" cycle,

I have no idea when I ovulate and ov tests don't work for me because of the pcos, I long for another baby and ds has even started asking for a brother or sister it breaks my heart every time I have a neg test, just wondering if anyone could shed some light on how I can tell when I'm ovulating had how many days before next AF is due will it happen any advice and comments will be much appreciated

Charting is your best bet although it can be frustrating with such long cycles. It's a bit more difficult to predict O and easier to confirm it through charting although some women get a dip right before O so that can tip you off sometimes. Are you trying anything to help regulate your cycles and shorten them up a bit? Some women with pcos have a lot of luck with agnus castus (some do not of course) but it might be worth looking in to.

If you've been trying for four years and your cycles are very sporadic I'd definitely go see a fertility specialist at this point.

Although herbal supplements and vitamins can help some women, they can also make matters worse for many others.


I think you've rolled the dice long enough on your own, and do hope you'll consider seeing someone who can pin point what's going on with you and help you find some good solutions.

I have been referred to a fertility specialist about 6 months ago but still waiting for an appointment I will have to give them a call and find out what's going on thank u for your reply
