I've booked sessions and the lady doing it is a midwife at the hospital where I will have the baby so I hope she will be on duty when I go in !!!

The lady who ran the courses I went on was also a midwife, but sadly not in the area that we come from (we travelled quite a distance to attend the courses). I would have loved for the chance to have had her as attending mw! At least there is a chance you could get her I'm so pleased you've booked it!

I think there just are two hypnotherapy midwives at my hospital so I don't think my odds of getting them are great either. I just hope the other ones are also supportive of it. I think they've also had plenty of exposure to it from working in the same team but I really hope I don't have to deal with anyone who thinks it's a load of rubbish :-S

Erm I haven't told him I've booked it yet !! I will tell him later, the lady said it's quite common that they don't get it but will after ... Not so sure I have reiki sometimes and he thinks it's all Mumbo jumbo !!!!

Dont worry too much about getting a mw who doesnt get it. The 2nd mw that attended me was quite open in her "anti-hypnosis" and what with OH acting as "gatekeeper" and the other mw who was quite happy to just leave us to it (didnt have anything to say about hypnosis until she saw how well it was working - see birth story ), she just backed off and kept out of the whole thing!
