I dont know of any good books hun but I would be wary of the ones with graphic pictures in them..

im not sure you get graphic books aimed at that age group here!

this may look like a shameless plug for my book business, but its not, honestly!
Usborne DO do a fab one tho, one for girls, and one for boys...

and a few others!

Sorry I just say that because a couple of my guy friends ended up developing porn addictions because of the books they were given as kids.. apparently they were just drawn pictures of female and male parts... you would think these would be harmless? But apparently its pretty common if they are shown these things at an early age.

are you for real? thats gotta be one of THE most bizarre things ive ever read on here!

Erm, back on topic...

I had the 3rd book which NIFirstimer mentioned - Usborne's Guide to Understanding the Facts of life. I was bought it when I was 9, I think. (Being in Primary 5 rings a bell!). It was my "go-to" book for years. I think I may even still have it somewhere

The first half covered puberty, growing up, a bit about relationships, and then the second bit was about reproduction and had a section on baby care too (from the POV of being a child who may meet a baby, iykwim!) I'm sure it's been updated/revised since then, but it was certainly a fab book for me :)

Well that's good to know :D I should have a look and see if I still have my copy, and if I don't, buy one from you for when Romilly is older

In my village library, they had a set of books which were about your body. The set had 3 books, one was for 9 to 11 year old another one for 12 to 14 and another for 15 to 17 year olds. so it approached topics from change of body and body hygiene, to relationship and sex in the books for older teens.
another book was different and it was only about human reproduction , it was based in a comic book story in which two siblings 5 and 7, learn that their mum is pregnant and get explained what happened and what will happen and follow in time till after the baby is born.
it is by Grethe Fagerström und Gunilla Hansson a swedish team so I imagine it is also available in english.

the aforementioned one is obv German but maybe you find a similar english one

https://www.amazon.de/Mann-Frau-Bdn...=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1278409877&sr=1-3

so thats the look of the kids , the early and the later teens book.
