It's fine. My husband's aunt is a GP and when we were on Holiday in France with her in my first trimester it was the only thing on the starter menu she would let me have! It was fab having a medical advisor on hand.

I've eaten it. It made for some tasty sushi!

the general advice is not to eat it..but..it is smoked and tbh..the smoking process is a long process which efficitvely kills any bugs..I have eaten smoked salmon in previous pregnancies

I've been advised by my midwife only to eat it if it has been frozen first as some worms can survive the smoking but def not the freezing. Doesn't affect the flavour and the texture doesn't change significantly. I'd freez just to be safe hun.
