Really nervous about starting a thread so pls be gentle. :shy: looking for friends & support & i will do my best to suppot too. :flower: after 22 months (nov 08) i have never had a BFP. Not one. :nope: As each month goes by i reason with myself "oh maybe try every other day" or "this month i wont chart" but nothing. i have come to conclusion that if it hasnt happened so far what makes it going to happen this month?

in fact i have my 1st fs appoint in 2 weeks. very nervous but at least i will get to face it head on. i dont how i will get that BFP but i will. We have been tested no reason why we cant. so frustrating each month. :growlmad:

nice to meet u all

Star-bex you are very welcome here:hugs:

There are lots of lovely ladies in this forum who can share their experiences with you and tell you what they know.

We've all been down that scary path of starting investigations, and know how you feel.

The good news is, that the sooner you meet with your FS, the sooner you can start talking about what the options are - even if you're still undiagnosed at this stage.

Wishing you lots of luck :flower:

She was absolutely right, you are more than welcome here! Hubby and I have been trying for over 2 years now. We too have never had a BFP (had a chemical, but it never produced the BFP, just a 49 day cycle). It will seem scary now, going to see what they think is going on, but many times it's what you need to get to the next step. I didn't want to meet with anyone either, it felt like admitting failure, or that we weren't doing something right. But no one has ever said that to us. Please feel free to ask any questions you want to ask and we will all do our best to answer them. But you definitely are more than welcome here!!

aww thank u 4 replies. my 1st thread. been on ttc boards but now i have been referred i feel like i need to talk to ladies who have gone down the road of consultations & tests & understand me. :flower:

I have a 25 day cycle & i know i ov. i expect i will have a 21 day blood and then what? i just dont know what they will do to me but it will be worth it if i get answers or even better a BFP. :happydance:

its nice that ppl understand that it some times doesn't just happen after 6 months or even a yr. it doesnt help if i relax or go on holiday or chart. seriously i have tried everything incl lying on front, back, pillow, headstands, b vits, smep, cbfm, temps, etc. :nope:

i am 30 next week and i have mixed feelings. thought id have LO by then. thank u for ur welcomes and i am glad i have made the step in knocking on the ltttc board. :flower:

If relaxing worked, we would have been knocked up in the first place. We got frustrated when we DIDN'T get knocked up! I sooo know how it feels to hear that from people who have 12 kids! But it will be our time eventually right?

Hi starbex,

of course you can join here. Good luck at the FS appointment, there is loads of threads on here that you can join when you know what your FS recommends. I am currently on clomid and waiting for ovarian drilling in november. so if you end up taking clomid you can find lots of us on the clomid club page.
xx

hi and welcome :hi:

wanted to wish you lots of luck and hope your bfp is just around the corner! xx

Hi starbex! Welcome to the board here. This was/is such a wealth of knowledge and wisdom for really understanding everyone's struggles with infertility and finding what works best for everyone. I felt so alone and 'damaged' after drying to conceive for a year, then getting a tubal pregnancy and well, everything else that came along the way after that. Point is, I realized we are not alone in this struggle and it's so comforting to commiserate and encourage each other through this adventure and seeing people succeed finally after trying for so long is so wonderful for giving you hope. I hope your meeting w/FS brings you some answers and more hope. I'm pulling for you!

:hugs::hugs:

Hi Bex, I'm new to LTTTC too so maybe we can suss things out together?

The TTC threads are good but sometimes it's frustrating when the girls get upset after a BFN on their first month.

I've been reading some of the posts on here & all the ladies on here seem incredibly lovely & I'm looking forward to sharing my journey.

I've got my first appointment with the Infertility Team next month & have no idea what to expect, I've got one more cycle before then so FX you never know... we've been TTC for 15 months.

Welcome star-bex :flower:

I hope you get some answers and help from your FS and like others have said, you will get loads of support here and will be able to get some more specialised help and support when you know what (if any) issues you're dealing with.

Good luck hun xx

Welcome Star-bex, and hi everyone else! I know that LTTTC can be lonely! It took us two years for our ds. The good news is that once I went to a fs, it was only a few months until they figured me out and got the right dosage of Clomid to do the trick. Hopefully you will be able to find a simple solution too, but if you don't- you always have us to talk to! We've been working on number two for about a year now, and I"m on my second round of Clomid and keeping my fx- Good luck to all of you!

Thank u everyone. ur all so supportive & i only moved across couple days ago. That makes me feel better that in a matter of months the doc may find a solution. :happydance: Has anyone conceived naturally after 2 yrs of nothing? i really believe that i need help either clomid or ivf. i have tried everything & altho i am not loosing hope, i truely believe i wont get pg without intervention some how.

someone told me on another thread that they give u clomid even if u ov on ur own. i defo ov because i temp & opk.

how is everyone today? what cd is everyone on. I'm 11 dpo which is great since I;m usually 9 days but started b vits :happydance:

We got pregnant after 16months naturally, but ended in MC.
If your LP is nomrally 9 days this may be the reason why you haven't conceived yet! O:)

CD2 for me today :flow:

Thanks maaybe2010, i think my LP is a problem but last month it was 11.5 days instead of 9 and this month i am 11 dpo so fx the vits will sort this out.

thanks :hugs:

I'm on cd 10 today, probably oving in about a week. If you luteal phase is short, Clomid can help that! Most people say that clomid lengthens the luteal phase- you might also get progesterone as well!

thanks for that info ttcnumbertwo. i have heard of clomid. will speak to the fs about it.

i hope everyone has had a nice weekend and its been great getting to know u all. i have new hope & im actually looking forward to the appt now.
