Can pg tests be positive then get a neg

Hi all, just a question, dh and I have been on the FTC journey for 7 years. Decided to finish and I did a test this afternoon and after spending thousands on tests it had a second line very faint but it was there....I am 6 days til my period starts. I rushed to the shop as u do lol and bought another one and nothing....I have felt sick all day and then did the test just to check and there it was.....help please this is all new to me!!

This happened to my friend. She did a test and it was positive, did two more and they were negative. You should do the test in the morning, first wee, mid stream. she is now 31 weeks pregnant the doctor told her that a positive test is very rarely wrong, but a negative one can be. Some tests are also more sensitive. i would either get a clear blue or first response, basically quite a pricey one or go to the doctor. hope you get the results you want xx

Thanks so much! Nice to hear that. I have a test to do in the morning so I will save it....I am so excited because it's the closest I have come to a pregnancy in seven years.... I bought some off of eBay, there was about 10 ovulation kits and 5 pregnancy kits...this was the last one and none have done this before...will wait and see!

Ok gave in too temptation lol, did another test tonight and it came up positive.....so far two bfp's and one bfn! Will be up bright and early to test again!!! thanks for your kind words x

Morning test negative....going to docs tonight to see if I am going crazy, the test last night hubby was happy to bring it in this morning and it had darkened the two lines lol but then nothing this morning....this roller coaster just keeps going....lol

I had two faint line positives and 3 negatives right after. I am waiting a week to retest. Its world crushing to get positives and then negatives.

Yes it is a roller coaster, I have up to now had 2 positives, 3 negatives, and had bloods taken now and get results in the morning! Gonna be a long night!

Got the results from bloods this afternoon, and negative (((cry: can't believe I must of been pregnant for a couple of days and then gone!! Doc says I must of been but didn't hold!! Oh well next time x

I hope for you its a BFP!!

In May, I had a CP that started this way. I tested at 10dpo and 4 BFPs in a row. My Beta read 14 - super low. By the time AF was supposed to arrive, she did, another Beta confirmed 0 HCG and 6 other tests were BFNs.
