I just started the 6th week of pregnancy. I started coughing Tuesday and then fever that lasted for a little over 24 hours. I have had sneezing, congestion, severe coughing since. The fever stopped since Thursday but now I am worried that I will miscarry because of all of this, especially the coughing. It has gotten so bad at times that I start gagging from so much coughing. Does anyone know if this severe cold can have lethal effects on the pregnancy?

I have to wait for ultrasound until August 5th

I think I spent most of my first tri with DS with a severe cold, and he's just fine.

High fever is the only concern. Cough and cold symptoms are fine. Like mac I had colds and sinus infections much of first tri. Hard to avoid when you already have little ones! First trimester actually suppresses your immune system so that you don't reject the embryo.
