Can someone please help.. in agony!

Hey all , well iv had really bad back pain in my lower right side for about 3 days now like really bad pain, i went to docs yesterday as i had a bladder infection but thats all sorted now and i thought the pain was from that but its still there! anyone know what this could be? im getting a bit worried...

It could be your kidney, the bladder infection may have travelled up to their. Are you on antibiotics? Just keep drinking heaps of water to flush your system out and maybe go back and see your dr again and tell them its worrying you.

Yes i think im on augmenton or something like that, and if it travels to your kidneys is that bad?

How low is it? It could be sciatica, is it right down in your bum/lower back?

A UTI can definately travel to your kidneys and cause infection. If you've had a recent UTI I would mention it, call the hospital and explain the situation. If it's that bad, it's best to have it checked by someone hun, not a good idea to let these things go.

its my lower back , far down but not my bum iykwim lol its okay if i sit down or lie down but as soon as i start moving it is so sore! i told the doc ( well actually nurse) yesterday but it didn't seem like she was listening as i was trying to explain the pain. she just gave me pills and sent me on my way

UTI's can be dangerous but your on antibiotics so all shall be fine. Its just the risk of the infection reaching the baby. Utis are very common during pregnancy. Ive never had one myself in any of pregnancies but nearly everyone i know has.

Would you say the pain is at the bottom of your rib on your back? that is where your kidneys are on each side.

i was going to say kidney infection too but it sounds like the pain is too far down. can you distinguish the pain, ie could it be muscular? good luck hun, if you're worried i would definitely give nhs direct a call and see what they say. if it were a kidney infection you'd have to get it sorted ASAP xx

Im hoping it is just because of my bladder infection but the only way i can explain where the pain is is just above where my pants sit like just over from my hip iykwim? my midwife said i am more likely to get bladder infections because i had 3 last year even before i was pregnant

The only way to explain the pain is that it feels like there is something in my back that it sore like its not on the outside?

Hi, I have the same thing (was going to say exactly but it is difficult to tell). When I am sat down its ok but when I get up the pain feels like someone tugging/pulling/pushing on the end of my spine

When I get up during the night to use the loo I can hardly walk and sitting up when I've been lying down is excruciating. I also get a pain in my leg during the night and I have to get up to ease it, so double pain. I am not sure what it is but I am not sure I can stand another 13 weeks of it and as I get bigger I am assuming it will get worse.

Sorry. didn't want to make you thread about me but reading what you were saying really hit a cord. I do sympathize with you but don't know what to suggest guess if it isn't related to your infection we just gotta hang on in there.

Mine just feels like theres a lump in the right hand side of my back that really hurts, especially when i walk, or move my back, its so annoying and sore but im not sure i need to go see the doctor about it or if its just another thing that goes along with being pregnant!?? Thanks for all the replys though , and im sorry about your pain truman heres hoping our pain goes away!
