Ok, I'm not actually meant to be in this section as I'm still ttc but .... Can you fly while pregnant ? At any stage ? As long as you don't have any major problems with your pregnancy ?

My OH wants to book us to go away for my birthday early next year to Paris .. We are currently ttc and I might/could be pregnant then ?

I don't want to put my life on hold as I have been ttc for a while anyway but I don't want to waste money either if I can't go ...

Yes you can. Check with the airline for their guidelines. I flew long distance at 12 weeks.

you will have to check with your flight company, some wont allow you to fly in the third tri full stop other will let you fly with a letter from your gp. Pretty sure its ok before 3rd tri. I think.... Good luck ttc xxx

Here's some useful info on here:

I flew at 5 weeks, 12 weeks, 14 weeks, 19 weeks, 21 weeks, 23 weeks and 25 weeks pregnant and was fine.
xx

I think if i remember its ok to fly up to the 3rd trimester. You may be asked for a 'fit to fly letter' which you can get from your doctor.

I flew at 4 months pregnant, the holiday was booked before I became pregnant and it was fine.

With a standard airine its up to 28 weeks the up to 32 with a doctors letter x x x x

I'm a flight attendant, and we're allowed to work until 34 weeks :)

yes you can, i am a flight attendant, and my company allows me to work up until 7 1/2 months pregnant as long as my doctor says i'm okay to fly. So i'm sure if you're up to 7 months pregnant you can fly.

fine to fly in 1st and 2nd tri. In 3rd tri you need to check what the policy is of the individual airline. As others have mentioned many airlines require a letter from your doc or midwife saying you are fit to fly after 27 weeks, and most won't take you at all after 36 weeks.

Remember to move around plenty (on a long haul flight) as pregnant ladies are at slightly higher risk of DVT and drink plenty of water. Have fun!

I flew at 6 weeks, 16 weeks, 19 weeks, 24 weeks, 27 weeks, 30 weeks and 32 weeks and everything was fine. The flights at 24 and 27 weeks were to/from Australia.

Awh thanks everyone, I will defo be booking it now :)

With my Hollie i flew at 15 and 27 weeks.
With Hazel i flew at 7 weeks.
All was fine both times. xx

I flew from the UK to Colorado! 4500 miles and a 14 hour journey when 6 months pregnant:) Reagan is fine and so was I even though it was the MOST uncomfortable flight and my feet swelled really bad even with flight socks! And they say you are supposed to get up and walk the isles which was hard for me as I couldn't really fit and kept running into people and had to wee constantly in that teeny little toilet! THEN took us over 30 hours to get home because of weather but that is another story lol just drinks loads of water and get up and stretch and you will be fine:)
